----------------------------------------the money-saving thing is actually false, as I've spent far more money on a new bike, equipment and clothing than I've saved on petrol. True, but I treat it as a saving on each weeks fuel bill. Also for me, my bike has been used to get to work for many years on and off. Fortunately most of my working life I have been able to ride my bike (haven't always done so but......) so it's probably getting on for 15 years of cycling most days. @Fosking - yikes that's cold -10! If you don't mind me asking, are you living out there or just there for work? |

@Fosking - yikes that's cold -10! If you don't mind me asking, are you living out there or just there for work? We are living here. Not really Frankfurt but a town called Darmstadt just south of Frankfurt. We have been here for 5 years now, although it doesn't feel that long. |

@Fosking - yikes that's cold -10! If you don't mind me asking, are you living out there or just there for work? We are living here. Not really Frankfurt but a town called Darmstadt just south of Frankfurt. We have been here for 5 years now, although it doesn't feel that long. In a change from my normal rush to check on some figures, that took me to look up Darmstadt and then in a flight of fancy, to read up on origins and usage of The empire on which the sun never sets, Today Darmstadt, tomorrow .....  Yup, it's a quiet day. |
