Re: UK

Snaphot of the gap between the UK team and the next few higher teams in each of of the 3 categoreies:

Runtime
IBM Tucson 66:065:14:46:17 163 Days
Wisconsin 52:258:03:13:54 202 Days
Austin Grid Team 45:028:00:27:45 222 Days
IBM Taiwan 41:061:01:46:11 100 Days
Team Norway 37:255:06:19:09
Poland 32:327:08:26:33 120 Days
Gillboskolorna 23:079:00:42:22

Points
BOINC@MIXI 50,248,253 297 Days
America (USA) 46,425,129 208 Days
IBM Web Innovators & Friends 43,029,704 154 Days
Hungary 19,644,360 100 Days
IBM Massachusetts 18,942,914 76 Days
Romania 11,854,457 37 Days

Results
SWARH 33,051 30 Days
IBM Web Innovators & Friends 30,666 59 Days
HTCMania 19,086
ESU 8,309 7 Days
IBM Austin 3,172 121 Days
America (USA) 1,959 18 Days

The xxDays annotation indicates the number of days, based on yesterday's performance, that it will take to close the gap. If there's no annotation then based on yesterday's performance the gap is widening. Obviously this is highly volatile with the effects of individual project selection, P/V gaol etc etc impossible to quantify. Nevertheless I think it shows how the recent improvements in UK team performance will be translated into higher Global rankings over the next few months. I'll try to produce a similar snapsot in 1 week and then at the end of the month to demonstrate (hopefully) continued progress.

Re: UK

Greats stats jonnieb-uk

We might even close the gap on results returned sooner than predicted as I have now changed my focus on Help Conquer Cancer Work Units, which appear to run much quicker than Computing for Sustainable Water.

It will take a few days to see the increase in results as I cache a couple of days extra work.

Re: UK

I've got some bad news, priorities have changed, I may??? have some heart problems that might require an Operation on one of my valves.. sad sick

This being a potential, I'm gonna have to start saving as much money as possible now, to help ensure that the mortgage can be paid if I'm out of action for any period of time.

I've already begun giving up smoking (not for these reasons, but the money saved will help), next is bringing down my elecy costs as much as possible (currenlty paying £85 per month combined Gas & Elecy), to this effect, I'll be giving up on crunching untill I know more and/or are back on my feet and am healthy both in myself & finacially.

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news crying

I'll pop in from time to time to see how everythings going, keep on crunching for cures you krazy kats smile peace good luck

Re: UK

@themoonscrescent So very sorry to hear your news. Of course your health must come first and hopefully it won't be too long before our wonderful NHS has you back to fighting fitness. So often the uncertainty can be almost as much of a problem as the illness itself. I'm sure all the regular forum contributors will join me in wishing you speedy recovery. In the meantime do stop by the forum occasionally, give us a talk to the hand & keep us posted on your progress.
