Re: UK

After an enforced break for nearly four weeks there's a bit to catch up on!

A belated welcome to douglasalt1 and cornwell40. biggrin

The UK team has had a pretty good month! biggrin

Gillboskolorna remains the target in the RT table at #89. The gap is still 23:095:14:45:27 but we made up 110 days during May.

In the Points standings we have today waved goodbye to BitBenderTech to move up to #90 having passed Kentucky Wildcats Folding Team earlier in the month. Our focus now moves to Romania who are 12,510,282 points ahead. I estimate that we should pass them in 30-40 days.

Finally in Results we continue to close on IBM Austin though they have jumped to #89 by overtaking America (USA). We should pass both teams during June.

Its been good reading recent comments to see that people have been able to add increased resources to WGC. Together with the contribution of this months new members enabled the UK team to post a total RT for May of 16:041:13:09:02 (April 15:273:07:45:20). This is especially significant because gibbcorp who was the teams leading contributor in Apil with 3:097:22:10:20 has diverted resources elsewhere though still contributing 0:331:18:54:00 in May.

@ douglasalt1 You asked a while back about displaying the Globe sig: You need to click on My Forum Profile and then select Change My Signature. In the box enter [ img]http://i1007.photobucket.com/albums/af195/wcgsig/392622.gif[ /img] without the leading space imside the [].

Re: UK

The UK team has an all time total of 512 members of whom 98 are active (in 2012), 309 inactive, 82 retired and 23 DOA.

The UK team has an all time total of 512 members of whom 97 are active (in 2012), 309 inactive, 83 retired and 23 DOA. Sadly thunderbird30 who joined in Mar 2012, has today retired from the team. tired Sorry to see you go and thank you for the 0:079:15:30:08 contribution.

Looking at the stats for the United Kingdom as a whole I can't help but notice that some of those members designated "retired" are still crunching; some of them at significant levels of contribution. (It's not possible to tell if they've joined another team). If any of you should happen to read this thread we'd be glad to have you back in the UK team which is now a more lively and vibrant team than in years past.

Re: UK

May 2012 UK Team Stats

The UK Team Summary May 31 (linked below) has two pages.

Summary compares All Time totals with 2012 totals. The table is sorted on the basis of 2012 RT.

2012 details the monthly performance in the current year and is also sorted on 2012 RT.

Re: UK

@ douglasalt1 And very impressive it looks too! biggrin

Glad I could help. I'm no expert so I'll post this question here on the off chance someone might have some idea. Browsing through the teams forum I notice that the US Air Force team has a very eyecatching Stars & Stripes in it's thread header:
http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,30486

This appears to be done using BBCode [ **==]. Does the code exist or can it be created to do the same to produce a Union Jack?
