Hello all, The current server estimates (as of about an hour ago) show that HFCC has about 13.6 days of work units remaining. Seippel Hi Seippel I'm trying to get the emerald badge. Can you give the server estimates again please? I hope there are still some jobs I can crunch to get to my goal . [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Apr 13, 2011 3:13:32 PM] |

Hi Seippel,
----------------------------------------Would it be possible to show a estimated completion date for each project on the statistics page? This information would be helpful for badge hunters. |

Hi Seippel, Would it be possible to show a estimated completion date for each project on the statistics page? This information would be helpful for badge hunters. We had these at one time. They used to be in SekeRob's charts. You can still see % done in one of his charts http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q210/Sekerob/WCGYearsPi1Project.png |

If you constantly want updated end date for this project, just do some basic math.
----------------------------------------Basic info: There are 285 batches per target. Each batch consist of 10,000 tasks. Each task was split into 2 WUs. According to my results page, they are currently sending out batch 246. According to Sekerob's chart, we are crunching about 95,000 HFCC WU per day (https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,24775) So doing the math you get : (285-246)*10,000*2/95,000 = 8.2 days left This is does not factor in repairs and double checks, so I will go ahead and say 9 days til the last unique WU get sent out. Then only repair WUs will be available |

And, with HCMD2 project back to normal distribution again since yesterday, it probably will change the distribution share among the projects, so is possible that it could extend a little bit more the end of HFCC project...

And, with HCMD2 project back to normal distribution again since yesterday, it probably will change the distribution share among the projects, so is possible that it could extend a little bit more the end of HFCC project... But, there again, with currently no DDDT2 work to divert the badge hunters away, that could also have an effect on the end date. It all goes to show that attempting to create an estimated end date (even just for 30 days - nevermind 60), is extremely difficult... |
