Thanks keithhenry, the team and especially our visitors are working hard at it.
Sounds like it's getting toward the end of your visit parmesian, we have enjoyed your help and conversation. I like the graphs with the Air Force backgrounds. Good job. ![]() |

Hypernova, your numbers are just getting higher and higher. Bringing the boosters into play has made a big jump in your speed. Latest satallite image from your vacinity is showing you moving at near relativistic speeds.

Sounds like it's getting toward the end of your visit parmesian, we have enjoyed your help and conversation. I like the graphs with the Air Force backgrounds. Good job. ![]() I'm going to stay a day or two after we pass the marines. It just doesn't seem right to leave without finishing 1,000,000 points (not much for Hypernova or RAMMIE). Here is where we stand right now (19jan2011). This chart is just this calendar year until today (you can see we haven't quite caught them) with no projections for future days. Sometime around 20:00zulu we will pass USMC (they won't hear the boom until we are already well clear of their sight). Then there will be nothing ahead but unrestricted airspace. Aim High! Aim High!
----------------------------------------Everybody sing along! Off we go into the wild blue yonder, Climbing high into the sun; Here they come zooming to meet our thunder, At 'em boys, Give 'er the gun! (Give 'er the gun! Hey!) Down we dive, spouting our flame from under, Off with one helluva roar! We live in fame or go down in flame. Hey! Nothing'll stop the U.S. Air Force! We have accomplished our task! All the other branches are behind us. It has been a helluva ride so far, but we're not done yet. Today's tally U.S.Air Force - 97,776,765 USMC - 97,149,975 US NAVY - 92,463,152 U.S. Army - 41,334,496 U.S. Coast Guard - 29,309,135 One last comment, our work seems to follow history in an odd way. The USMC group was the first into the fight at WCG, followed shortly by the US NAVY, then the U.S. Army, the U.S.Air Force, and finally the U.S. Coast Guard. As history has shown over and over, the USMC group, with fewer than half of the members of any group but U.S. Coast Guard, lead the way from the beginning. They will be overtaken by the US NAVY around the middle of February, but it will have taken them over six years to catch up with nearly three times the manpower. But then there is the U.S.Air Force. For five years, we held our own. We didn't challenge the top two, but we weren't challenged by the bottom two. But a month and a half ago, the challenge was put before us. We love challenges, they taste like chicken. The call went out. The technology was assembled and the race was on. 01Dec2010 we had 49,692,594 points. By this time tomorrow we will have doubled that number - in just 52 days! We weren't the first in the fight, but we have really turned it on and changed the course of the war. By Saturday we will be the first branch of the service to pass the 100,000,000 point barrier. We live in fame or go down in flame. Hey! Nothing'll stop the U.S. Air Force! In Memory of Dave Bell |

Go Air Force!!
Nice information parmesian. One heck of a accomplishment. We could not have done it without the help of a bunch of supporters that came to join the good fight. Thanks to everyone that has helped this team get to where it is today. #1 |

I have too much time on my hands!
---------------------------------------- This is the last chart (I promise). This takes all five branches back to the beginning. You can see USMC and US NAVY started in Nov2004, U.S. Army and U.S.Air Force in Nov2005 and U.S. Coast Guard in Oct2006. Everyone was ahead of us when we started. (Heck, even the U.S. Coast Guard - who started nearly a year after we did - passed us on 6Sep2007) We started making a run in the middle of 2008, and while we passed U.S. Army and U.S. Coast Guard, we were losing ground to USMC and US NAVY. But, look at the climb in the end. AMAZING! The most amazing part of this chart is that as of 20Jan2011 all five branches have combined to provide 502 years, 60 days, 3 hours, 7 minutes and 45 seconds of computer time. This returned 706,332 results for scientists to be able to study. It earned us a combined point total of 358,033,523 . We are currently earning over 2,000,000 points a day and the combined forces should pass the half billion points milestone before summer arrives! Way to go!
