The development of our new website makes some nice progress, and we hope we’ll get it online soon. How exciting biggrin

Re: Research Log: Updates from the Harvard Team

Dear mecole,
yes, FAS-RC is great and we couldn't do the project without them. In the backups we basically restore all the tape content into a temporary directory and compare this with the original, to make sure that the tapes actually contain a valid copy of everything in case of a catastrophic failure of the Jabba storage arrays.
Best wishes from
Your Harvard CEP team

Re: Research Log: Updates from the Harvard Team

The CEP team and other members of the Aspuru-Guzik Group – the big boss included – gathered at the Tavern in the Square in Cambridge for this months “Science by the Pint” event. These meetings in “spirited” atmosphere are a neat outreach effort to engage the public in modern research. We definitely had a great time with interesting conversations and we hope that we were able to recruit a number of new crunchers for the World Community Grid biggrin

Re: Research Log: Updates from the Harvard Team

We completely failed to mention that we have now harvested more than 8000 years of computing time for CEP (SekeRob actually pointed it out already) and are these days averaging about 20y/d. This is an awesome statistic and we are very grateful for all your support!

Re: Research Log: Updates from the Harvard Team

We finally got around to catching up on all your forum questions and will hopefully be able to more regularly update you on our research again. The first several weeks of this year were crazy but now we are back in calmer waters… Hopefully biggrin

Re: Research Log: Updates from the Harvard Team

Is there any chance of getting a slightly more in-depth technical update on where the project is (i.e. any interesting things that you have found from the data we have crunched so far)?
