@ Ascholten, I know that there's a new project out - that's why I made reference to it in my previous post (GFAM), as well as starting the recognition thread for that new project. I've also downloaded and processed 2 WU's for that new project - just so that, when they've been released from PV jail, I'll have something on the board. What I was meaning by "new projects", was projects in the future that haven't been launched yet...

We have made it into the final of the CycleCloud BigScience Challenge! I hope that the judges comprehend that by giving us the opportunity to subtract out the wildly and artificially varying - but ever increasing - cost of energy, Harvard's CEP project would free up enormous (enormous as in enormous) amounts of wealth which could then be used to buy CycleCloud time to address all of the rest of the world's problems.http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/cycle...ists-at-sc-11-1587178.htm |

Huh...the flood of traffic (?) resulting from your link appears to have knocked whatever server is hosting http://blog.cyclecomputing.com/ right offline...
----------------------------------------Least, the link doesn't work and the link on their homepage (http://www.cyclecomputing.com/) to their own blog doesn't work. Edit: And a DNS query to well-known name servers returns No IP address found for the domain 'blog.cyclecomputing.com' (no DNS answer). If I read it correctly, you get some cash for making it to the finalist level?
If so this is a good thing, will help offset what you put out to fix the hardware on the storage array. Aaron |

Dear ibsteve2u and others,
thanks for the encouragement! We'll keep our fingers crossed ;). The website seems to be up again now. Dear Ascholten, the prize is actually not cash but the equivalent in computing time on their cluster. Best wishes from Your Harvard CEP team |
