Seems things are back to normal after yesterdays system hiccup. Some of my devices that had still 1 day cache had to be stopped last night (in Europe) and this early morning when switched on, started to download furiously but this time with a 3 day cache too, my new standard.

The devices with already 3 day cache simply didn't notice. The only effect was that uploading was suspended and the uploadable finished task queue became amazingly large. This is due mainly to HCC which are fast crunched WUs, with less than 2 hours each and 12 of them per shot. That makes it for 144 per day theoretical output.

Stats for yesterday were irrelevant. The global WCG stats for October 14 are at 21'165'107 points. Last time we had a score not higher than that was on the 26 November 2005. I wonder if stats will be corrected ante-data for yesterday or if this value will stay and in the stats list show as WCG armageddon day.

Normally the spheres are fairly close, but the ~27 hour upload outage and validation backlog certainly shows where the cachers were putting their eggs... an exposé :P
