biggrin SuperMegaflush day thread

Tomorrow will be a major daily record day, thanks to the filesystem issue were WCG was down. All crunchers with large caches have had the possibility to pile up WU's. Today was a major upload/download day. So if we cumulate todays production and the one from yesterday we could have excellent surprises tomorrow when we will get todays statistics.

Armageddon day ------> SuperMegaflush day

To use at best this unique opportunity I managed to have 17 devices (out of 18 available) running like heck* today. External temps are still not low enough so I had to stay short of one device. Anyway this makes for 188 threads crunching. I cross my fingers to see what total I will get tomorrow.

Do not hesitate to post your absolute record numbers that you get on this thread. See you tomorrow good night. wink

Re: SuperMegaflush day thread

Days like these do not qualify. I've already entered the 15th in the 'exclude' table ... bummer, but it was a good rehearsal for the real thing ;>)

(To see an EOD projection for the 15th, visit the WCGPI1 chart now as all those highlight boxes are in a one off congregation :P

Re: SuperMegaflush day thread

Most of my WUs just went to Pending Validation anyway.

Re: SuperMegaflush day thread

Sek, I agree that these two special days do not qualify in the normal "Member Current Ranking" thread. This why I made this thread as a special one. After all we can also individually play the megaflush game during normal WCG work. Just pile up HPF2 slow validating WU's until you get a peak value of PV, then commuting your machine(s) to HCC fast validating units and you will get after one or two days a high unique record cumulative result.

This time it is WCG who did it for all of us, which is much more fair. It is the same conditions for everybody. And all those points are valid as real crunching did happen over these two days. Rankings are relative and so they do qualify. Some of you had had to stop crunching as their cache was too small. But you know, it is like in a competition, if you do not plan well and are short of fuel then sorry, this does not mean that the whole competition has to be cancelled.

So if we look in relative terms it was still an excellent day as in the "yesterday" ranking I reached 14th which is the best rank ever but not by far. My previous record was standing at 15th. Let's see if this ranking can be reached in the future. wink
Points were 1'218'950, Runtime 324 days, WU 2'888. smile

Re: SuperMegaflush day thread

Run time 0:172:09:40:31
Points 432,999
Results 884

the runtime and points are my highest ever, however the results aren't anything special. When c4cw first came out, I had a lot more results. This was due to the combination of WU's being smaller and my PV was getting cleared out of DDDT2 WUs.

Ranking is about normal though. Points usually in 40th to 60th place. Runtime also about normal, 40th - 50th. Can't tell with results vary too much depending on WUs

Re: SuperMegaflush day thread

Sek, after thinking about it you are right. It is nice to have in the daily scoring table but it does not reflect the systems daily performance. So I will not keep it as a peak daily performance in the signature.
Anyway the systems daily performance is improving and yesterday was best overall with over 1 TFlop, and over Ruby in a day. The 2000 units per day limit was also passed.
