I also have 5 kids, all sons, and three grandsons. I do not know how much .... they produce. But they bring me abundant happiness, love and adventure - try going out on a hike with a 3 year old!

I have one box running linux off a usb stick just to crunch this, am looking forward to the betas getting things working for windows soon tho, I'm downloading Ubuntu 32bit (Wubi doesn't support 64 bit) & i'll use the the update to make it see al my ram. Will be installing through Wubi. I'm installing solely for cep2. Hope the windows app is close. Dose anyone know a work around to install ub 64 with Wubi? Running cep2 from a usb stick whats run time & credits like? I'll be using a i7 980x @ 3.33 with 12GB ram[Edit 1 times, last edit by Speedy51 at Oct 9, 2010 5:44:24 AM] |

wubi is set by default to 64 bit ! So something is fishy ...
U can download manually the 64bit .iso, and place it under the same folder where wubi is. Or you can try starting wubi with --64bit (this works for forcing 32bit, i don;t know if it works for 64bit, but test it anyway...) |

Running cep2 from a usb stick whats run time & credits like? I tried running CEP2 from a USB drive twice and both times the drive got corrupted after about 2 days and quit working. My guess was there were just too many read/writes for the drive to handle. Has anyone here had success running CEP2 off a USB drive? I'd like to know how you're doing it.

Boot on the cd, and there will be a check disk option. - if the cd is ok or u;re using .iso with wubi, than check again that the windows filesystem is ok and then properly shut down the computer twice (just to be sure), and then try wubi again. Also if u use RAID or encrypted disks, it will fail ! U cand search u;re error on google and you;ll see some more tips, but considering you have the free space, u can do an actuall proper install with a CD... |
