SekeRob,
Is the chart accurate ie it is showing 8.62% completion which means that we are worrying a lot over nothing and we have loads of WUs to come over the next months? Mike |

My first rain I haven't tried to get any wow,
----------------------------------------I hit my target so I'm leaving them for whoever needs em. Someday I'll want more, and I'll come back again, but that's months down the road. Enjoy the weather, I'm going to the desert to get Warm (no rain). ![]() |

SekeRob, Is the chart accurate ie it is showing 8.62% completion which means that we are worrying a lot over nothing and we have loads of WUs to come over the next months? Mike Well, just go back to uplinger's original WU structure chart and table of quantities... it's in a sticky thread and that IS the base for the progress calculation (which is why the suffix "volume" is there... a known quantity). The ts ** is additional to all that i.e. strictly speaking, we're really near zero on the true work IMV. ** Privately dubbed 'ts' as 'testing string' ;>) |

Indeed, SekeRob is correct - as these "testing string" WU's are part of the quality control systems (listed below), whilst the main bulk of work - the 18 targets (the first one of which, erlc, was partially crunched right at the beginning, and thus, may be run through again), are still to come...
----------------------------------------The naming conventions for our quality control systems are: ts01 = HIV protease and its known binders/non-binders ts02 = trypsin and its known binders/non-binders ts03 = HIV reverse transcriptase and its known binders/non-binders ts04 = influenza virus neuraminidase and its known binders/non-binders ts05 = human estrogen receptor and its known binders/non-binders ts06 = lysozyme and a small set of known binders/non-binders - Mar 22, 2010 These were set out in this preliminary workunit naming convention thread. ![]() |

For those who like to cache up piles, there is a potential Maxwell Smart ''Chaos'' prize! Of the 's' types, the 'sd' and 'sq' are send out by the hopper with 'p' time estimates... about 4x too high. When your client processes these really 4x faster, the client will guess that the rest will also run much faster. If there are many of these, your client might fetch too much work in it's optimism and then the cache could suddenly inflate and turn into panic mode.
Be Smarter than Maxwell :D |

Today I have downloaded a total of 99 WUs for 4 machines with a total of 12 cores. This is just to confirm the work has been made available, but I do not know how long it will continue.
