There are many great projects that are not WCG as well. One is Rosetta. Ironically, one of rosetta's protein folding functions might help with solar energy! After I get my gold with protein folding here I will focus on rosetta and come back enthusiastically in the unlikely event that CE2 opens up to windows.

I saw a message today on one of my Windows boxes: "CEP2 needs 700MB of RAM, you have 439MB."

Ken: your guess is as good as mine. There's no announcement, and I didn't see it on any other machine.

I saw a message today on one of my Windows boxes: "CEP2 needs 700MB of RAM, you have 439MB." It means that you have checked CEP2 and that this machine will never run a CEP2 Wu since it does not have adequate memory. It DOS NOT mean that there are any WU that you could have crunched if you HAD enough memory. You have fake excitement |

Since July 17th. I broke my collar bone in two pieces and I'm almost healed. I'm not complaining, I'm just stating that July 17th was a long time ago.
I might have to install Ubuntu on my desktop and run it over night. Regardless, I'm going to be out of town for 2 weeks for American Thanks Giving. I'll be running Linux on 2 machines totaling 6 threads for 14 days focused 100% on CEP2. And I'll have my netbook running it while I'm plugged in on the trip. It's a small contribution but pretty big for a home user. I hope my power doesn't surge while I'm out. |

Hmmm, broken collar bone you say. On September 22, I was on a ladder that gave way beneath me. I landed on top of the ladder and wound up going to the emergency room for Xrays and pain killers. It will be another week or two before I am fully recovered. Anyone else have any excitement?

Since I'm diabetic (type 2) could be why my memory is going. (and my eyes and feet issues) So to lose weight is my new thing. Hope you all heal well ![]() |
