I have 14 so far that seems to run OK. I gotta also say that I'm glad that they limited BETAs to one per thread. I can actually get some WU's now. For sure saw now that there are Betas yet flowing... got some 1 hour ago.
Cheers ! GIB@

A couple boxes are working on Beta at this moment.
1 PV, 8 IP, zero errors for now. |

I snagged 20 of them, most of them are pending, a few are still in progress (but looking good) and 2 have errored out...

Hit Totto73,
----------------------------------------The MD5 checksum and -119 is described in the BFS FAQ as: ERR_MD5_FAILED -119 BOINC couldn't find a signature on the file it downloaded. Solution: Complain about it on the project's forums. It may be their error. Also try to reset your project. It could be that your public key got corrupted. A project reset fixes that. Run time when this happened? You could reconstruct this from the log in the stdoutdae.txt file... start time > crash entry time. edit: correct quotes which seriously mangled the post.

Saw in 6 Beta quorum detail [114 copies] so far only 1 error, one the programmers can't do anything about. Even Google had no hits on this one:
----------------------------------------Result Log Result Name: BETA_ ng590_ 00033_ 12-- <core_client_version>6.2.28</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <message> - exit code -1073741571 (0xc00000fd) </message> <stderr_txt> Unhandled Exception Detected... - Unhandled Exception Record - Reason: Out Of Memory (C++ Exception) (0xe06d7363) at address 0x7D4E237E Engaging BOINC Windows Runtime Debugger... </stderr_txt> ]]> Oddly, now seen that peak VM use is considerably lower than when looking in 2 years ago. It was 110-126Mb, never seeing the old maxes of near 250Mb. PF values seem to increase with the number of concurrent jobs. On the duo it was much less than on the quad, both W7. 900k after 7 hours, near 95% complete versus 1.1m after 3.5 hours, 53% complete on quad.

Solution: Complain about it on the project's forums. It may be their error. I think I have done this with my post. In case, the complainment was not clear enough... HEREWITH I COMPLAIN ABOUT THESE TWO ERROR ß-WU'S!!! (and I arrogate 2 surrogate ß-wu's!!! ) Also try to reset your project. It could be that your public key got corrupted. A project reset fixes that. I will give this a try. I will do so, as soon as this bot has run dry. Thanks, Sek! [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Apr 13, 2010 10:23:29 AM] |

Although the 2 WU's that I was fortunate to pick up during the night completed a-ok (now, just waiting early release from PV jail), 3 of my wingmen had issues;
----------------------------------------Result Log Result Name: BETA_ ng590_ 00031_ 17-- <core_client_version>6.10.18</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <message> too many exit(0)s </message> ]]> Result Log Result Name: BETA_ ng590_ 00031_ 6-- <core_client_version>6.10.43</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <message> Incorrect function. four on my quad finished w/o problems; I do have a machine that is known to suffer from "ERROR:: Exit at: .\dock_structure.cc line:401". Only had four betas (PV now ), so the clean finish could be just luck...
