Hi All!
----------------------------------------I crunched a few Beta-WUs recently. They were all all valid but the CPU time was not credited. I'm still stuck at 0:006:02:28:11. The CPU time for all other projects constantly increases, Beta not! What am I doing wrong? [Edit 2 times, last edit by Former Member at Apr 14, 2010 10:55:25 AM] |

You are guilty of not being patient
----------------------------------------It's not because your work unit validated that the other replications of your work unit validated in sufficient numbers. In other words, copies have been sent to other computers, and not enough valid results have been returned. Only 1 thing to do: be patient. The points will come. Edit: correction: I think you just needed to wait until the next update. You probably have the points by now. [Edit 1 times, last edit by rembertw at Apr 14, 2010 11:26:18 AM] |

I am patient! Since at least 2 Months now.
It's not just the last 3 WUs that were not credited, some others in the past weren't credited too. And I guess there were some stats updates since then... :) |

If marked "Valid" I've zero doubt, zero, that they were added to your statistics.
----------------------------------------If the marker was "Too Late", which happened occasionally, the credit may have gone lost. But, if your client on the outside chance was then registered to a different member name, it's where the contributions were recorded. Many have a forum registration with a different name than the one used to attach BOINC with. BTW, I had a few DDDT2 beta tasks valid that took 15 minutes to complete... I'd hardly notice if they were added or not. NB: Since a few weeks, most errors [Invalids were already] that can be tied back to a science application fail are also automatically credited for time and results. Not immediately... there's a periodic script that goes through all the error results and matches them against an acknowledged set of fail codes such as the HPF2 401 error.

2 Months!!!! (as rembertw indicated, some members certainly would have said something before now...).
----------------------------------------Have you any records of what Beta WU's you processed were? (i.e., evidence that they did indeed validate, and as to what the credited values were, along with the WU names). I'm sure that if they were valid, that you'd have been credited for them by now... btw, just to double check, they were run under your current account, and not against any others you may have had recently? |

2 Months!!!! (as rembertw indicated, some members certainly would have said something before now...). I don't really care if I get credited, I was just curious. But I want those nifty badges :) Have you any records of what Beta WU's you processed were? (i.e., evidence that they did indeed validate, and as to what the credited values were, along with the WU names). Check this one Mine was BETA_ ng595_ 00057_ 8-- I'm sure that if they were valid, that you'd have been credited for them by now... Obviously I do get credit for them, but they are not added to my CPU time btw, just to double check, they were run under your current account, and not against any others you may have had recently? Yep! I run a few different WCG projects on this machine under my account I have for years now. |

It would be an absolute first to see proof of points/results being credited but not the CPU time... even when for invalid, half points credit is given, but full run-time. Anyway, guess you missed my previous post.
----------------------------------------On then net, the daily stats I run on My Grid and global tie to the penny and nickle. As for your link, we're not allowed to see quorum detail of other members results. You'd have to copy paste in a post. That said, you link to a result quorum that was circulated on April 12, 2010. Maybe you thought it was Dec.4.

Anyway, guess you missed my previous post. I'll have a look if my CPU time increases in the next few days As for your link, we're not allowed to see quorum detail of other members results. You'd have to copy paste in a post. That said, you link to a result quorum that was circulated on April 12, 2010. Maybe you thought it was Dec.4. Oops! Didn't think of that. Here's a copy.. BETA_ ng595_ 00057_ 8-- 617 Valid 12.04.10 22:51:07 13.04.10 12:23:44 4.87 75.4 / 93.3 No, I'm aware that it was April 12th. I saw it "valid" yesterday around 6 pm (CEST) and thought it should be added to my CPU time with the nightly stats update. Anyway, I watch the stats closely if something happens the next days. Thanks to all for the hints! |

If you sort the HPF2 result quorum detail by return date, than the 15th valid result from the bottom is the time/date when the HPF2 is validated. That's the day that credit should appear on My Grid after 12:06 or 00:06 UTC stats updates. Valid results returned (#16-19) for HPF2 get then validated shortly after upload, as and when they trickle in.

Now it did update the CPU run time, at least for the last 3 Beta-WUs during the last days. Strange, some of the WUs before didn't show up in the stats. Maybe they were invalid, can't check this any more. Anyway, it seems to work for me now.
Thanks to all for your kind help! |
