Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

I got 1 raindrop even though I had many waiting open mouths. I am now 2.28 hours closer to a silver badge. We'll all get some work eventually. Patience and good luck.

Cheers coffee

I find looking forward to getting a new badge one of the least stressful tasks in my life. What I do find somewhat stressful, as far as WCG goes, is managing End of Project.

Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

Speaking of End of Project, what happened to Sekerob's estimated project end date which were on the run-time charts? I found them very useful even if the estimates might be wrong.

That chart is back online now. The addicted masses can now be satisfied.

normaly i agree with you.. but for this project it seems to be the oposite.. everyone is waiting and checking there computers to see if they managed to get 1 work unit closer.. instead of just watching your badges grow and such.

Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

People find it hard to decide when to stop crunching for a project, because they can never be sure when it will run out of tasks. So if you decide to get a 6month badge or 2year badge, you may have to start counting how many work units you get, and they can suddenly dry up, leaving you short of the mark. If you dont pay attention, you could do way more work than you intend, and end up short on another project. Then there is the what to do when you reach the 2 years completed on all active projects situation, that more and more people find themselves in. So you blindly start crunching for a 3rd and 4th year... and get your own badges.
For DDDT2, most of us are just happy to get a badge of any description, especially if you saw other projects come and go without quite making it to brown.
