Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

Nasher,

We need to let the researchers examine the results from the BETA first. When I hear something I'll let everyone know :) At the moment the winds aren't blowing :)

I think Dengue is just scared to show its head around here. It probably caught wind of how quickly we dispatched its cohort, Children's Cancer. Staring down the barrel of hundreds of GHz can be quite intimidating.

Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

thanks for the update Uplinger i am more than happy waiting for the beta results. i do wish i managed to get some beta but shrug cant have everything.

by my calculations its about 19 days(X4 cpu) before my HCMD2 changes color so I at least have my waiting plan for 19 days setup.

I am debating planing out the next few weeks with other projects if necessary and hoping new project show up as well as DDDT2.

personally i get more desire to crunch when i can see the badges coming and the fact i am catching up to the next badge level but unfortunately as the projects are now i am left with 1 emerald and one soon to be emerald as possible to advance to sapphire prior to being crunching for the sake of crunching.

i love badge hunting myself but once you get to the fact it will take 90+ days for me (with my 4 cpu's) to advance a project badge color it starts to get more tedious and i start looking at what else is out there.

right now i am recovering from cancer (thyroid) so i have alot of time to sit and think with little energy to do more than sit.. so the badge hunting has helped me think of other things besides the big C.

again thanks for the update.. that is one of the main reasons i devote as much computer power as i have here is the updates from the project managers as well as the scientists and staff at WCG

Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

With water cooling can overclock your cpu with out burning it up. Even more advanced is phase change cooler and really exotic is using liquid Nitrogen, Wonder what would be possible with liquid Helium? Sorry to hear about cancer nasher. Not my business but look into pain management if that is an issue. Often no energy, loss of apetite and waking up fatigued are symptoms. oral meds often do not cut it as the case with fentanyl patches.
