skgiven what do you mean by OVERALL UK ranking. Do you mean Overall WCG or overall all Boinc projects? I meant All Time WCG UK Rankings, not UK Boinc Ranking. There is an Overall/All Time Ranking and a ranking for yesterdays WCG returns. I edited my last few post(s) to change "Overall" to All Time, as the WCG calls it All Time and I was being confusing! 3rd is a realistic short term points target for you, perhaps only a few days away - especially if you get those PV tasks validated!
----------------------------------------It will take you a while to reach 2nd and then 1st spot though, even at your rate. For me the long term objective is top 20 UK (presently 23M), as this is attainable - I should at least get close this year. Top 10 is not, well not for perhaps two or three years (entry level is already over 41M, and there are some big crunchers in there). Fortunately I should be able to see steady progress for a while longer before I slow down and equilibrate somewhere in the top 20; there are lots of people in the top 40 with 16M, 17M and 18M points... It will take you a while to reach 2nd and then 1st spot though, even at your rate. skgiven you are right. But I have not used still all my ammunition.  My Solar System is still missing the Sun, (RA or INTI) a very powerful source of crunching energy that spits WUINOS (this is the WCG-WU version of the neutrino  ) in all directions. So definitively 1st place is still at some distance but maybe not so far as you may imagine.  |

At about £850 Ra wont be making its way to a computer near me any time soon!

MY WCG All Time UK RANKINGS (and the numbers)
- Runtime 66th (18:067:19:06:18) - Points 38th (16,323,239) - Results Returned 52nd (28,068) YESTERDAYS UK RANKINGS - Runtime 8th (0:042:06:22:29) - Points 7th (105,452) - Results 8th (147) Chasing 5years for NRW has increased the stats nicely! 265days to go. Might just scrape over the line. |
