Yesterday was a triple ACE day. I should now be firmly established here if all devices run without a hiccup.
----------------------------------------It was also a record day with 224'987 points and 281 Results returned. A new record at 300 WU seems feasible. Yesterday I profited of a backlog in validations mainly the Beta WU's so the 300 WU/day line was broken with 339 returned. However this should not last.

With all those Beta WUs, are you far off a Beta badge?
I got a hord of them the last time round. I sat for ages on 11days and then 13days with only about 5 short tasks in a year, then perhaps a hundred all came at once! I might even end up with a silver Beta badge when they are all back and counted. My daily points total has been all over the place recently with the Betas and HCC being slow to tally. You might want to try turning some more of those yellows into reds, greens and blues. I think Human Proteome Folding Phase 2 will be the next one to end, possibly this year. |

No. Unfortunately I am still far off, but as I said in another thread I made a huge progress. I went from 1 day of runtime to 3 days of runtime. I validated about 33 wu's. But have still 11 days to go.
----------------------------------------The reason why I am late on that is that for many months the beta test was unchecked for my various device profiles. When I failed to receive wu's at all for some time I falled into an extremely deep depression.  WCG was boycotting me for unknown reasons. You know the plot syndrom. And then came redemption, when I finally realized that a small unchecked box was the issue.  So I really started to be active on betas since December 2009. At the moment I am fully busy on FAAH to grab some new gems. |

Hypernova, well done on reaching the 1year mark for HCC, Im sure blue is not far away!
----------------------------------------I see meshmesh and LUFTY (both in the UK) reached 50M points recently (world ranks both in top 200), well done. Both crunchers are in the UK's top 5 all time and daily top 10. johnnyward88 also recently made 30M points, another top UK cruncher. I'm just about hovering at 10th for daily points, so still climbing overall. It will be a while before my Runtime gets into the top 50, but the points are where its at. I will be testing another system over the weekend so I should see a bit of a points peak, both here and over at GPUGrid. Excellent skgiven. The important thing is to progress even if at the slow pace. The most horrible thing is when you start slipping down.
----------------------------------------In the WCG country statistics on a daily basis I am in points and results on top by a factor of three. On runtime I stay on top but with a 25% margin. If we look at the overall picture here it is: Total Points #8th (nice first 10 club) Since 18th January improved by 13 ranks Total Results #14th Since 18th January improved by 31 ranks Total Runtime #18th Since 18th January improved 37 ranks So not on top yet. I think the real last sprint to the top overall will only take place after my dual socket 24 thread RA device will be online. |

If I look now to my country position overall in BOINC, that is for all BOINC projects and not only WCG then I am in #113 position.

---------------------------------------- My UK overall Boinc points are a bit skewed by the fact that I have a different WCG account, so 2.13M points are not included, and there are a couple of other small projects that dont get added. Anyway 129th overall is not bad, but the extra 2.1M would put me about 92nd. I might have a look at sorting that again some time. My UK overall Boinc points are a bit skewed by the fact that I have a different WCG account, so 2.13M points are not included It is important that we compare apples with apples. So when we consider country ranking we have to take only WCG. The reason is that if we consider the other Boinc projects and mainly those where GPU is active then you can rack a very large amount of points and then you have an overall country stats which is a little unfair compared to a unique WCG cruncher where no GPU is used. By the way is it possible to have WCG on CPU and another project on GPU, with a clear separation, this means that both projects run in parallel and don't affect the performances of each other? |
