Re: Country Current Member Ranking

Sander1974 you have a pretty tough competitor (nearly unbeatable) in your country with MakeCuresHappen. I am happy he is not in my country.
By the way I am curious. He list more than 30'000 devices. I know that this maybe not actual active devices, nevertheless the number is impressive. Is it a data center, University, school, governement admin ...... confused

Re: Country Current Member Ranking

They prefer not to come out of the closet with fanfare as of yet... it's a globally operating company with a data-center based in the low lands. They'd be fitting in the Pro class here :P

Re: Country Current Member Ranking

It's a serious cruncher that's for sure, making up 50% of the country's total points. Heck only 8 countries crunch more than this member alone. Quickly becoming the biggest cruncher ever on WCG too.

Sek, I know who they are too. Do you think it's ok to put a link here to their website, where they explain what they are doing for WCG and why? It's not a secret as they have it on their website, but I don't want to disturb their low profile on this forum.

Re: Country Current Member Ranking

Exactly, if they wish to promote their being here by a different name than through the MCH initiative, I'd let them do it. Should they officially become a WCG partner then this would go with the provision of a link... so far that has not happened.

Re: Country Current Member Ranking

MY OVERALL UK RANKINGS (and the numbers)
- Runtime 94th (14:013:21:01:53)
- Points 57th (12,810,246)
- Results Returned 76th (22,649)

YESTERDAYS UK RANKINGS
- Runtime 7th (0:041:03:03:42)
- Points 7th (83,119)
- Results 9th (108)

It is a pity teams cannot collectively be awarded badges, which could be seen on a team page. That way the lesser contributors could see their collective contribution amount to something.
For example, if you get a disparate family in which each member only has one system and some only have one laptop, each member is just not capable of contributing to all projects, getting badges, a noteworthy points total and indeed getting any of the higher badges. Group their contributions and they could well have a nice set of badges, which is more visually noticeable than a points tally.

Globally operating company that contributes without much fanfare as you said Sek, it deserves our full respect. I applause

I think you can skip the "nearly". I don't see anyone come even close to these guys! But that doesn't matter: I'm honered that such a big contributer comes from the same little country as I do. biggrin

You are right. It is strange that I do double ace nearly every day and from time to time triple ace in a country were the potential capability to have contributors equivalent to your top member, is very high.
I should say that yes this state of affairs allows me to be on top but it shows that a lot still remains to be done. sad
