Thread: Seem to be running two WCG programs, but email from WCG says they have no record? |

It may be one of a couple of things.
----------------------------------------First: you may have to wait for the workunit to validate. You can check this by going to result status on the left hand side and clicking it. This should show what the job status is. Second: The personal statistics are updated twice a day and you need to wait until one of the updates happens before the workunit appears in your statistics. Be patient. If you completed it, it will show up. Cheers

mmm... To the best of my knowledge, my computer has been merrily crunching data for over a week now. In the Tasks tab it shows that it has completed a job for fighting AIDS, it is now running one for malaria control, and it has jobs lined up for AIDS, nutritious rice and muscular dystrophy. I have no problem with my computer being used for these deserving issues, but I signed up for malaria projects only, just to test the waters. And all my numbers on the website are still zip.

When I look up barkbuster stats I see 6 hours and a few seconds completed, which to me means a HCMD2 job completed and validated. FAAH, NRW, and HCMD2 can sometimes take up to 10 days to validate, until they do, they don't show in your stats. You can click the "results status" link to the left of your screen and see all downloaded (inprogress), pending validation (completed waiting to be verified), valid, etc results.
WCG by default enrolls you in all active projects and you get jobs as they come up. to change the projects you want to work on, click the "My Projects" link WCG is not currently doing any malaria projects, the work stats for that project is at their web site and not in any way under control of WCG |

BarkBuster I feel there is a confusion here about what is a project.
---------------------------------------- You have BOINC projects ad WCG projects. If you go under the projects tab of the advanced view of your boinc application what do you have? I suppose that you have two BOINC projects. One is Worldcommunitygrid and the other one is Malariacontrol. In a way you probably signed up for both and get now WU from both BOINC projects. On a lower level you have the WCG projects like FAAH, NRW, HCMD2 from which you will get also WU's as you are in default settings for WCG and will get from each of the active ones WU's. Now if you want to change that then you can detach from WCG  and stay only with Malariacontrol if you wish, but we are very happy to have you on board. Hope you stay a little with us.   |

Progress! Today I got an email saying: '(we) congratulate you for successfully completing your first result for World Community Grid.' I went to my page in the website, and it is accumulating points.
