Re: Q. WINDOWS XP USER ACCOUNT PROFILE.

A Domain... Controller? Think that does not work on those particular devices out of the box, yet.

Have you seen the Mass Install document that WCG has published? At any rate, suggest you mail support@worldcommunitygrid.org and they'll be most happy to get you set up on that fleet, even make you a partner with extra facilities.

edit: Here's a link to the mass installer http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dl/wcg_mass_boinc_5.10.45_windows_intelx86.exe . Don't ask me how that works.

Re: Q. WINDOWS XP USER ACCOUNT PROFILE.

Hello yrwins,
For a mass roll out, I always suggest giving the staff a list of your requirements and asking for their advice. They have the experience. Just use the 'Contact us' link at the bottom of the home page (and other website pages).

One does not need a newer version for general distributed farm computing. 5.10 at that is a bit more flexible with installing. 6.2 will set up extra (hidden) BOINC specific user accounts which may not always work for everyone's setup.
