I've had one Beta unit on my atom machine go from inconclusive to invalid BETA_erlc_a162_se0000. This unit ran continuously without any shutdowns/hibernates/suspends/etc and two other betas on the same machine returned as valid, one of them would have been running partly at the same time as the one that came back invalid..

My inconclusive changed to VALID, following a wingman return

I am actually curious to know how many copies will be sent out if this one keeps coming back 'Inconclusive'. So far none of the current 5 match on results. I can hope the wingman on copy 6 matches mine, but I am not holding my breath. I have two results, where wingman #5 must crunch. I hope, we're not in an infinite loop. Otherwise this could be a very long beta. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Mathilde2006 at Jan 10, 2010 1:24:52 PM] |

Off-hand I do not know on Inconclusive limits, 7 errors stops circulation for sure. Maybe there are actually matches in the results returned so far, except the current logic not able to determine them yet... also, who knows is there need for more granulation in the distribution v.v. CPU differences... let's hope not.
----------------------------------------Mind you this is a beta test, so it's closely monitored.

OFF TOPIC ... BUT ... After ONLY 5 years, I finally received that elusive GOLD Beta badge. Now I can throw away that can of SILVER polish! You'll still need the SILVER polish for your Genome-badge. "I make so many mistakes. But then just think of all the mistakes I don't make, although I might." |

[a comment I did not make as too obvious] Actually, no point, the patina makes a silver badge look much better and a bowl of vinegar does it without effort anyway, and he can say he's got a GC badge, as do I :P

Sekerob, I checked the slow traffic problem.
----------------------------------------In fact WCG servers were confused and sent the WU to PLUTO. The return transmission trip is about 9 hours. But PLUTO* is not active yet and they got a negative reply. So it was sent to MARS (only 10 minutes return transmission time). But MARS has a buffer for one day of WU, and the crunching of the beta WU took 6 hours. When you add up all this it matches perfectly the timing. *To avoid further errors please tramsit to WCG Tech that WU's must be sent only to: MERCURY, VENUS, MARS, JUPITER, SATURN, URANUS. PLUTO and NEPTUNE are not active yet. |
