The results I was asking about were returned and reported 8(+) days ago. Thanks. :) And they did get added into the total either last night or this morning, so thanks (again) to whoever takes care of that. |

Two Betas landed on my atom 330, ran for about 10 days and then reported back Too Late - What a waste of time and effort!
Will be detaching this evening. |

Two Betas landed on my atom 330, ran for about 10 days and then reported back Too Late - What a waste of time and effort! You might want to make allowances for all things not being perfect and automatic in beta. Last time the Too Late's were manually handled... passed through revalidation. At least the tech bend over backwards to give credit for good work or work that by no fault of the volunteer went bad, such as a large scale bad batch. Will be detaching this evening. Now, running 10 day and longer taking jobs on atoms... your choice. That's the WCG deadline. Can only recommend that you set such underpowered devices to compute projects of known and fairly stable length.

Short deadlines and slow machines dont go together well, but there were short tasks too. Pity the short tasks did not find their way to the slow machine and the long ones to fast systems, that way I would not have lost 500h of Beta time, but thats Your Beta setup!
----------------------------------------At least it demonstrated the fact that such tasks will not finish in time on slower systems (and there are plenty of them about including the slower N270's, celerons and new atoms). I expect the live system will prevent many such problems and the techs now have a chance to avoid any potentially related problems before launch. - 2 systems Detached, one reduced to 10% WCG. (Every action results in an equal and opposite reaction - thats the law). [Edit 3 times, last edit by skgiven at Apr 23, 2010 10:58:37 PM] |

I don't know whether I'm the only one, although I still do have an old Type B Beta WU hanging around in my Results page from the end of January. Does this need a manual process to clear it out?

Do not recollect which country you're in, but think there where you are the doctors too have access to the Mel Brooks meds to deal with High Anxiety. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0076141/ You've got a choice of RICE and HCMD2, very very small and The C types will be well able to complete on your atoms, in time.
