I'm trolling for beta's but the phishing is not very good. I think we're using the wrong bait. |

Well, I'm going to be away from my computer for the next couple hours, so it will probably happen then! Either that or the middle of the USA night (good luck for the Aussies).

some of the first few work units going out have high estimates for their runtimes. Similar to what was seen on the type A's. This has been adjusted to show a better runtime estimate.

Twice I hit Update within 5 minutes from the announcement and twice it said:
----------------------------------------06/01/2010 20:54:06 World Community Grid Message from server: (there was work but it was committed to other platforms) Of course there will be others that somehow manage to suck up 23 copies or more... which is not very satisfactory to many who'd be overjoyed for just seeing 1 or 2 and then see that some beta units are being returned on the 7th day after beta start... for the speediest completion of a test. oops, got 4 10 minutes later.

I managed to pick up three total.
Two on a quad xeon with estimates of 18 hours each and one on a C2Q laptop with estimate around 7 hours. |

Sek, you got 4...why are you taking so many? lol. It's a luck thing. I believe that we have sent out about half at this point. The pe work units went out first which have the large input files. So there are still some going out at this point.

hunter, we were just looking at that report. we're not sure what caused it. the wingmen on that work unit have not errored when we looked. So we're not sure if it was something on your machine or a fluke...anyways, that work unit is on our radar to look into. So far that is the only error we've seen.
