Re: computational error ?

One of my workunits just failed quickly with a computation error; incorrect function.

nb144_ 00015_ 11--

No wingmates seem to have reported their results yet.

Running 64-bit Vista SP2 and BOINC 6.10.18.

Re: computational error ?

robert, it's really a needle in a hay stack problem. The first minutes fails have as yet no identifiable cause, just that there is one unit that the programmers have that has been linked to a repeatable fail of this nature on the test machines. I had them fail on the quad and then suddenly at about version 6.10.12 the fails stopped. Same OS, Vista-32, same AV, same Firewall, all same same but the client. When doing a clean implementation of W7-64 on the quad, the success rate continued to be 100% (except one fail quite a bit into the job due a poor wifi comms situation). Client is now 64 bit 6.10.25.
