Re: computational error ?

Hi,

How long did it actually run? If few minutes, it's the "we don't know why it does that" 401 error. If you see too many of them suggest to deselect this project for your device.

OS/CPU/Client version number has our interest, just for stats.

Re: computational error ?

It has bin crunching since 02/12/2009 6:43:10pm and finished
03/12/2009 7:11:50 AM|World Community Grid|Output file my730_00012_6_0 for task my730_00012_6 absent

i am using AMD Turion 64x2 Windows Vista sp2 and software version 6.2.28.

I bin doing this for awhile but should i take the project out and put it back in to restart it? Is this what you are suggesting? or to detach it?

one more note to add... it only happens to this project, not to help cancer or aids, just this one.

Re: computational error ?

Does anyone actually have HPF working consistently?
If not, why hasn't it been pulled yet?

See the daily stats...

... so I guess a whole lot of people have it going.

edit: And no, that huge spike and fall was the tech playing with the inter-project weights joystick when HCC went short for a little.

Re: computational error ?

where you get the daily states, those look nice. are their any to see how much more work needs to be done until finished this project?

Re: computational error ?

They should have those states where it is easy to find those charts. i think they are interesting to see. well for example like when you come to the site their could be a place to see how well we are doing. it really is a lot clear how well we are doing and how much we need to do. Are they updated daily? okay goodnight zzzz

I mean to say i wish it was easier to see these things. might be nice to have real time up dates, like a line or graphic going along the screen until the project will be finished. almost like when you download something.

Re: computational error ?

I am getting computational errors for all the WUs in HPF2 on this computer. I'd have to check on the other computers running this project.

BOINC 6.10.18
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 860 @ 2.80GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.8GHz
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285
OS: Win7 64 bits

If you are running HPF2 exclusively, you should mix another project or 2 in there. This has helped some others. That way not all 8 cores(if you are running hyperthreaded) are not all on HPF2.

Cheers
