Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Dear Sek

How is 290,000 sq kms more snow coverage than normal in the Northern Hemisphere for March 2010 considered to be the snow disappearing

A grand total of 40.6 Million Sq Kms (Total Global Land Surface 150 Million Sq Kms)

If there is an increase of 1.3 Million Sq Kms compared with March 2009

Is that more snow or less? Is that an increase in Albedo or a reduction?

Is the climate controlled by Man through our emissions of CO2 or do you agree with me that there are other factors having a far greater effect rendering our actual impact insignificant?

Dave

The climate is controlled by Dave.

Nothing else we have ever said in here seems to have made any difference.

Arctic Seabed Methane Stores Destabilizing
- Well this worries me, I have a nose for these things liar

The Methane Stores in Russian bogs is also worrying, as is the Methane being released by burgers waiting to happen. But what about all those bean eaters - now that stuff really is man-made beat up

- don't eat beans with your burger, or even a bean burger, or soy, milk, butter, cheese...
Just pray for snow, that will sort out the man-made problems silly

If we all stopped rubbing our hands together when it was cold, perhaps that would sort everythtng. tongue

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

It's Monday this must be Napoli

More flights than a Air Steward in the last 3 days!

Afghanistan, Dubai, Turkey, Belgium - washing ironing - Belgium, Germany and Italy....Friday Morning till Sunday Evening

Here's some figures for you from http://www.ijis.iarc.uaf.edu/seaice/extent/plot.csv

Can you see what is happening?

11th April 2003
30th March 2004
14th March 2005
2006 Not Applicable
2007 Not Applicable
4th April 2008
30th March 2009
11th April 2010

A little tip so you can interpret...... <14,000,000 km2 North Polar Sea Ice Extent

Man has such a small impact on Climate that for all intents and purposes it ought to be described as insignificant

As you can see if you just open your eyes

Dave

We're trying, but the trend line still appears to be down

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

which is clearly incorrect data given the data source above

Take a look at http://www.ijis.iarc.uaf.edu/en/home/seaice_extent.htm and tell me it is inexorably disappearing

It isn't

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Or maybe you should look at this

http://arctic.atmos.uiuc.edu/cryosphere/IMAGES/seaice.recent.arctic.png

and think....if the World is in the grip of catastrophic Man Made Global Warming on account of our CO2 Emissions how come the North Polar Ice Cap is now just 49,000km2 below normal?

99.644% of the average figure 1979-2008

And then ask yourself why the Children of the Globe are being told that their future is one of Climate Calamity

Why?
