Note there's no source reference in the chart, but it was DA's well accepted HADCRUT3v. Since the trend is up and 2010 is spiking up, I haven't seen any purple DA graphs for awhile.

You mean all the charts by me hand showing that all, without exception display a Southern Hemisphere record heat content? Yeah I'm sure the next intermission will be about the weather in CET (Central England Temps). That long harsh winter and the gob-smack of it only being 0.1C below the previous year, for February.
----------------------------------------Trace gases, trace temperature fluxes and observable moving of the spring earlier into the year... yes: http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2010/feb/09/wildlife-climate-change * Environment * Wildlife Earlier springs could destroy delicate balance of UK wildlife, study shows Global warming could be changing seasonal timing with profound consequences, according to analysis of 726 species of plants and animals Who cares when it Ain't true They say? It's only a could after all. Governments don't anticipate coulds now do they? Burning bridges, except these cant be rebuild. It's a one way ticket.

p.s. how's your disappearing North Pole? :-) ![]() The issue here is the perpetual selective view... couple weeks ago that nice "so becoming" even purple image of the Arctic, yet skipping the high resolution picture from same site. [interlude: Resolute point in Canada I'll save for another time. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resolute,_Nunavut . The Permafrost has an issue there. There's where this scientist is making the solar hi refraction observation I posted on earlier in this thread. Several times.... 10-15C less cold than normal... maybe not too good for sea ice forming? /interlude]. As for the North Pole, here's again that hi res image. Anyone seeing the Beaufort Gyre? Anyone seeing Hudson Bay?, the Siberian coastline? http://arctic.atmos.uiuc.edu/cryosphere/NEWIMAGES/arctic.seaice.color.000.png It's winter there's or an early sign of spring? Yes, it's weather, but what has it got in store? On a lighter note: Just for those frequent users of the ROFLMAO, LoL, and additions to their posts: There's a 310km diameter hole on that map. It's generally accepted/assumed it is 100% covered by sea ice. Does DA know for sure? Jeff If/Id of the AirVent blog argues there is not, so he excludes that area from his sea ice analysis. (to make the stats look better).PS: Found an animation of the past 4 months of ice cover... it nicely shows all the Canadian and NA Great Lakes and what's happening with the water surface there. Shallow some may be, but solidly frozen over? Hard with all that snow going around. PPS: Now I'm going for the weekend chill, it's effortless (hope that was not lost in translation, DA being busy with it and all that).

I believe it's an area not covered by the radar, but how do we know there's not a hole in the earth up there? The monument to John Cleves Symmes in Hamilton Ohio would have us believe that. Since most of don't, the deniers should jump on this. ![]() http://www.antarctic-circle.org/E20.htm

It appears that no one can prove that man made global warming is actually happening.

Cheers retsof I knew you wouldn't let me down
----------------------------------------Now I know some of you have absolute faith that the Globe is warming uncontrollably because of Mankind and place absolute faith in those Global Mean Temperature readings as though they were a true representation of the reality that CO2 is causing the Globe to warm. And I promised to prick the bubble of your faith but I said it would take a considerable time to collate of of those links to the info that demonstrates that they have an appropriate fiddle factor applied to promote the political agenda Well to keep you frothing at the mouth while I do here's something to get your thinking caps working on in the meantime It's a neat brief summary (unlike our weather ) of just some of the flaws introduced into the data along the way to that "accurate" Monthly mean temphttp://scienceandpublicpolicy.org/originals/u...emperature_data_sets.html So while we still can, and the Carbon Police don't get their way. Keep 'em Crunching Dave ![]() |

What I find most interesting is how one would fully embrace the concept of WCG, while at the same time reject the scientific consensus on man-influenced climate change and the resulting negative effects. I thought it was a rather amusing (and even somewhat relieving) that there could be an ardent supporter of the grid who also was still not scientifically minded. After thinking about it though, the dichotomy I suppose is really not all that surprising. **
----------------------------------------Well anyway, I'm glad we can all agree on crunching here :-) **edited for intolerance** tkh ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by TKH at Mar 15, 2010 3:55:35 PM] |

I still find it strange how I am deemed anti-science, even going as far as being "rabidly anti-science" and likened to a "deeply religious anti-gay homosexual" if I simply don't believe in a politicised corrupt agenda
----------------------------------------I think I am firmly on the side of science. A science that is still in it's infancy. A fascinating science with a myriad of yet unknowns unfolding before us. Something I have been interested in since a kid. I don't know how anyone could continue to crunch if they believed that burning fossil fuels was bringing about our imminent demise as a species. In the same way that I don't understand how someone helping to find cures for cancer could support Nuclear Power and go on to claim it was clean, safe and carbon neutral - just ask a Ukrainian or anyone living around Sellafield. Now those things for me are a dichotomy Dave ![]() |
