Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Ah the joys of dealing with 2 of the possibly most vehement denialists you have ever had the pleasure to encounter.

biggrin

Keep up the good work lads

Quick word of advice

When you are in a hole, stop digging!

Night all I have enough of this nonsense for today I need my ZZzz's these days.

Roll on tomorrow

Dave

Believe the crown of denial belongs on your head, not ours.

You are the denier http://www.climategate.com/worlds-biggest-coa...to-court-in-climate-fraud

Sorry you have your definitions backwards. And what a surprise: a coal company fighting AGW. Of course they are, along with Exxon et al.

v.v. your comment yesterday, don't complain that we're holding you away from your job your boss is paying you to do, assuming you're in salaried employment.

I'll get you distracted for now anyway, a lodge member underway to Norway to suppress this clear deviation from mantra:

But for those initiated, that's why we use multiple independent sources to compare and correlate (one owned by Bildenberg, one owned by Freemasons, the main by the Illuminati, and at least one owned by Exxon-Mobil, for balance).

Met Office: we must check 150 years of climate data

More than 150 years of global temperature records are to be re-examined by an independent panel of scientists in an attempt to regain public trust in climate science following revelations about errors and suppression of data.

The Met Office said the reassessment would take up to three years. It hopes the findings will be ready for the IPCC’s next report, due to be published in 2013 and 2014.

The Met Office intends to hold a meeting at which “key players” from climate science and weather centres around the world would decide how to conduct the reassessment.

It adds: “Recognising that no single institution can undertake such a fundamental data collection, reanalysis and verification process single-handedly, we would envisage this as a broad community effort - a ‘grand challenge’ so to speak - involving UK and international partners.”

Clear admission, I would suggest, that the current temperature record is fundamentally flawed due to undocumented modifications being made to the raw temperature data.

In light of this revelation does anyone still have the gaul to stand up and continue to claim we are all doomed because of the "Global Warming" ?

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

You missed the part where audits and corrections and silly "remove the bad stations" WATTSOMANIAC has only led for the numbers to have gone up. The flaw in HADCRUT3v is that they don't count the polar regions... and that's where the most warming takes place.

Know the principle of hi/low pressure differential, Buys Ballot and what not which you see every day on the weather report? Did you read the multiple mention in this thread of the Arctic Oscillations? The Arctic is where all that heat went this winter, to your greatest joy.

[Me] Wonder if there's a price for the greatest wishful thinker in the UK? Let's hope they have to adjust it down though by 0.01C anomaly, so you can shout it off the roof: See they were wrong! [omitting it was only 0.01C]

I know my pappenheimers (from Belgium http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wHAxtZyC6Z8)

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

14,009,844 km2 (February 24, 2010)

A nice little milestone broken yesterday by our "disappearing" wink and apparently "roasting hot" North Polar Ice Cap - the 14 Million km2 barrier a feat not achieved by 2006 and 2007 but what with it "disappearing" wink so quickly strangely 2008, 2009 and now 2010 seem to have managed to put together enough ice crystals to make just about enough for a snowball wink

That snowball is now 1.426 times the size of the USA!

There's still time for further Sea Ice growth this year keep an eye on progress here

http://www.ijis.iarc.uaf.edu/en/home/seaice_extent.htm

Make it a great day

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

I'm gobsmacked !!

HadCRUT3 1-2010: +0.47 °C. Rank: 6/161
Warmest January in this series was in 2007.
Average last 12 months: 0.45 °C.

shock

That's 0.24C below Hansen's GISS figure of 0.71C. Where did El Nino go?

Those emails will be hurtling across the pond this morning !!

Maybe this is the start of a new independence, a new truthfulness and the beginning of some real science.

Yours absolutely stunned

Dave

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Snow = Warmth, now that should gobsmack. Use the function between the ears and seek out correlation of El Nino with snow. You might uncover something for yourself... inconvenient maybe. Another correlation. When the kid is out, the Hudson Bay freezes very late. Identically to 1998, except this one is not strong, just persistent... and that heat must have been generated somehow for that to happen. Know the somehow? There's an extreme wide consensus, plus irrefutable/unchangeable physics law that works on GHG's, particularly on the very very long-lived CO2 in the air.

Meantime the lodge rap arrived to Norway late last night, did a scientist peer-review and had the outlier put back in-line.

PS: One day you register the different baselines computed from 1951-1980 of GISS and 1961-1990 for HADCRU... that's when you'll have your rude awakening (of which no one will ever get to hear). What I remember from school is that for some in class it required several extra repetitions of the material studied. Then it was really good to see those eyes go wide with a smile.
