Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Clexit-coming? President of Philippines says Paris climate deal is stupid nonsense. Wants to kick someone.
Let’s not mince words. The new President of the Philippines, Jose Duterte, says he won’t sign or honor the “stupid” Paris deal and he wanted to kick the ambassador who asked.

Here’s a memorable moment in international diplomacy:

“You are trying to stifle us,” Duterte said on Monday in widely reported comments. “That’s stupid, I will not honour that. You signed … That was not my signature.”

Duterte said: “I’m mad at this ambassador. I want to kick him,” adding that limits on carbon emissions for the Philippines were “nonsense”.

“You who have reached your peak and along with it spewed a lot of contaminants, emissions … Good for you. We are here, we have not reached the age of industrialisation. We are on our way to it.”

for UK may be thee a sigh of relief ?

Hinkley Point expected to 'get go-ahead'

and the help for EDF of a new funding of the french government (with our tax money!)
the future eventual cost for the uk consumers will be redeemed to us with a lower pound !

I'll just say again

The only safe Nuclear Power Station is one that stays on the drawing board

There is still a chance it might stay there despite the insanity on display today.

We need to build Gas powered Power Stations and we need to start doing this right now.

Unfortunately we -french income tax payers-know where the money from the continent will flow to:

Hinkley Point gets final investment approval from France's EDF

These reactors will never be built even if they get to the concrete pouring.

One cold snap this winter smile

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Hi Klik

No one cold snap this winter and the lights will go off in the UK

We keep turning off our Coal Power Stations and we are not replacing them as they are "not Green" meanwhile we will support Nuclear Power which is apparently the greenest thing since a freshly mown lawn despite demonstrable and massive evidence to the contrary.

this lack of foresight and kowtowing to the theory that a trace gas responsible for all life on the planet will burn us all up means we in the UK no longer have sufficient electricity generating capability to keep the lights on when its a still windless freezing night in December

Fact
