Alged "but are yu sure to get enough power next winters "

I don't think so

I think this is the driver for the closure of the Steel Works

Inside climate propaganda
Have you ever wondered how the LA Times, Associated Press, Weather Channel and your local media always seem to present similar one-sided stories on climate change, fossil fuels, renewable energy and other environmental issues? How their assertions become “common knowledge,” like the following?

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

The April 2016 result is in (after last months technical hitch is resolved) and the average temperature from 2438 NOAA Weather Stations around the Globe was 12.366C

The yearly average May 2015-April 2016 is 13.373C so we are rolling off the top of the El Nino - watch as the global average temperature falls over the next 12 months....demonstrating how the heat is not building up by being trapped in our atmosphere

Here's another forum friendly sized graph that updates now every 4 hours due to the sheer number of points it now needs to plot

The graphs above are (at this moment in time) the result of 113,478,8979 individual temperature measurements taken around the Globe from (the same set of) NOAA Weather Stations since the beginning of 2011 cool

On average every 1.5 seconds another temperature reading is added to the database .... wink

I won't lose them (even with complete failure of 2 hard disk drives smile )

Study shows bad economic times means there are more climate skeptics

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

They are now saying that Global Warming is causing more and more penguins to die in Antarctica.

I ask you -- have you ever seen a picture of a dead penguin? Who do these so called scientists think they are?

Well, I spent a few years in Antarctica in one of my past careers studying the life cycle of penguins thanks to a grant from the National Science Foundation, and I would like to share what I've learned.

Did you ever wonder why there are no dead penguins on the ice in Antarctica? Where do they go?

Wonder no more!!!!!!! The penguin is a very ritualistic bird which lives an extremely ordered and complex life. The penguin is very committed to its family and will mate for life, as well as maintain a form of compassionate contact with its offspring throughout its life.

If a penguin is found dead on the ice surface, other members of the family and social circle have been known to dig holes in the ice, using their vestigial wings and beaks, until the hole is deep enough for the dead bird to be rolled into, and buried.

The male penguins then gather in a circle around the fresh grave and sing:

"Freeze a jolly good fellow."
"Freeze a jolly good fellow."

Ha ha!!! You really don't believe that I know anything about penguins, do you?

It's so easy to fool people all you crunchers on the WCG forum.

I am sorry, an urge came over me that made me do this!!!

Oh, quit whining, I fell for it, too.

I think Erika is getting more close to banning me from the WCG forums for life. biggrin

never thought I would see the day

The powers that be have made it impossible to run a Coal Power Station profitably in the UK and as we no longer have a CEGB that had a mission to keep the population supplied with electrical power .....

So they are all currently switched off and mothballed until Winter

Except this Winter.... those that are still capable of running .... are not enough
