Oh excellent I see we will not be tapping the colossal resource beneath our feet instead we will be shipping it in at great expense from abroad and via pipe from Norway

I take it then the Nuclear Option will be so much greener

at least they have saved the Planet

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

The June result is in and the average temperature from 2438 NOAA Weather Stations around the Globe was 20.678C the warmest June so far by 0.084C

The average temperature July 2014 through to the end of June 2015 was 12.706C, an increase of 0.026C over the yearly average to the end of May

Here's another forum friendly sized graph that updates hourly

The graphs above are (at this moment in time) the result of 97,647,143 individual temperature measurements taken around the Globe from (the same set of) NOAA Weather Stations since the beginning of 2011 cool Slowly closing in towards the 100 million mark

On average every 1.5 seconds another temperature reading is added to the database .... wink

Sorry about the delay.. a visit to the doctors smile

Note that Germany estimates that it has 2.3 trillion cubic meters of shale gas—enough to meet domestic need for a century.

Then go back and read the size of the UK's deposit ... beneath Northern England ... again

:-)

...and yet those lights will go off in the coming Winter. The lights stayed on during the last one by paying manufacturing industries to stop manufacturing. I have have it confirmed that this was the case.

They managed the load to 52GW it was clear to see on the http://www.gridwatch.templar.co.uk/ BM Report outputs

This year we won't have 52GW of generating capability

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Who knew biggrin

40,000 hours worth of data would break the Coldfusion Graphing Engine it's now running out of memory as it tries to plot all of those hourly averages (It's the java stack memory that's the problem)

Another redesign coming up (I'll just have to slice up the years)

I have the last week graph only working if anyone is remotely interested - you should be it's the greatest ever scam inflicted on all of Humanity .... no biggie
