Statistics are pilling up ahead of the great climate conference that "must be a success" (at least correctly politically).

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Its a warmer summer indeed!
see that report: State of the climate 2014: Record warmth
"New report – released by American Meteorological Society – based on contributions from 413 scientists from 58 countries around the world."

"Bottom line: The American Meteorological Society (AMS) released the State of the Climate in 2014 report on July 16, 2014. According to the report, in 2014, the most essential indicators of Earth’s changing climate continued to reflect trends of a warming planet, with several markers, such as rising land and ocean temperature, sea levels and greenhouse gases setting new records."

another argument for Paris Climate Conference next fall ?

There will be plenty more of this as they ramp up to COP21 in Paris in December

Rest assured

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

The July result is in and the average temperature from 2438 NOAA Weather Stations around the Globe was 22.574C this is the median value in the series

The average temperature August 2014 through to the end of July 2015 was 12.735C, an increase of 0.029C over the yearly average to the end of June. Taking us back to a yearly average temperature not seen since March 2013 wink

Here's another forum friendly sized graph that updates now every 4 hours due to the sheer number of points it now needs to plot

The graphs above are (at this moment in time) the result of 99,413,576 individual temperature measurements taken around the Globe from (the same set of) NOAA Weather Stations since the beginning of 2011 cool We should pass the 100 Million temperature measurement mark on the 11th August

On average every 1.5 seconds another temperature reading is added to the database .... wink

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

I was asked once if I had any empirical data to support my assertion that Man Made Global Warming was just a political construct as I stood in opposition to the relentless fearmongering perpetuated on everyone's soul about a life providing trace gas in our atmosphere.

See above

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Tomorrow the 8th August has been statistically the day when the peak warmth has been felt by us Landlubbers of Planet Earth, given the distribution of the land masses around our beautiful planet

Folks it's all downhill from here as the majority of us head back towards the coming Winter (as based on the 30 day average temp)

Oh whoopeee sad
