Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

If you heard a loud pop that sound may have come when government officials stop listening to the wackos and pull their collective heads out of their collective rectums.

Gerald I'm not convinced

It would take a daft bird to fly into a Wind Turbine they would see it and hear it.

Way back I think we discovered that more birds crashed into buildings and died than flew into Wind Turbines

Mine you I know a few daft birds wink

Here's today UK Environment news

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/topics/weather/975...sepipe-ban-next-year.html

You don't say....I'm shocked

Here's another with an ironic twist

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-20755450

Maybe they just can't afford the gas bill biggrin

“We would certainly be worse than 1976. There would have been widespread environmental impact, a lot of iconic chalk streams would have run dry and we would have had to move fish to preserve them.”--- I remember 1976,it was so cold here the temp. didnt get over freezing for two weeks--Global Cooling wink sad

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

now let me see that inexorably disappearing Snow cover of ours....

<snip>

Dave

Just seen this thread. You are a climate change denier? Fascinating.

A brief flick through some links you post that "support" your case often seem to show a fundamental misunderstanding of the differences between weather with climate. And of the links that contain actual numbers, you seem to draw conclusions based on data with time scales that are ridiculously short (such as your snow coverage numbers). Again, this is confusing weather with climate.

I find it sad and shocking that people are still in denial over this. Even worse to find someone actively trying to persuade others that it climate change is a falsehood. crying

Fraz keep watching

Not denying the Climate changes. Am well aware of the difference between Weather and Climate.

The debate ongoing here is the unsupportable winding up of the benefits of our modern lifestyle, including the World Community Grid, in the name of a essential, for the whole food chain, trace gas that currently makes up 0.039281% of our atmosphere.

I have a live public climate experiment running here

http://www.theglobalthermometer.com straight from 2565 NOAA weather stations around the globe updating hourly

For a list of weather stations currently monitored see http://www.theglobalthermometer.com/stations.cfm

All those stations monitored over time constitutes the Global Climate

The most amazing thing about our climate is it's stability

Check this out

Our climate has remained inside a temperature band of 0.08C for over 6 months now. It will go down early next year as the globally warm March of 2012 is unlikely to be repeated (as that was weather and not Global Warming as was claimed by the fearmongers)

Keep watching the thread and keep an open mind as to what you think is the unshakable truth.

Regards

Dave
