Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Hi Gerald

After our Summer in March this year is turning out to be unbelievably average

Average in the UK looks like a complete washout summer, dark clouds and miserable days

Month CET Anomaly
January 5.4 1.6
February 3.8 0.0
March 8.3 2.6
April 7.2 -0.7
May 11.7 0.5
June 13.5 -0.6
July 15.5 -0.5
August 16.6 0.9
September 13.0 -0.6
October 9.7 -1.0
November 5.2 -2.6 provisional, to the 6th

Average so far this year
Average CET to October: 10.48
Normal CET to October: 10.25
Anomaly to October: 0.23
Provisional CET anomaly (up to 6th November): 0.17C

Currently 0.17C above average and falling every day

trend in UK

down

All of this info updating daily

here http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/hadobs/hadcet/cet_info_mean.html

and yet our media does this http://www.thecommentator.com/article/1958/bb...d_climate_change_cover_up

and our Governments (of all colours) just keep squeezing that green guilt tax sponge until this Country is no more

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

thinking now let me see that inexorably disappearing Snow cover of ours..

http://climate.rutgers.edu/snowcover/table_rankings.php?ui_set=1#namgnld

It would appear that if it disappears rapidly in Summer then it comes back with a vengeance in Winter, restoring the status quo

Much like the Arctic Sea Ice

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

No way, the additional 3.6p per litre (inc VAT) will go ahead on the 1st January !

Average UK petrol price per litre today 135.15ppl

so this will go to 138.75ppl of which tax will be (VAT+Fuel Duty) 84.316ppl

60.8% direct tax (not to mention the tax we pay before buying our petrol and the tax on Fuel Company Profits)

So as the highest tax steal in Europe already UK MP's voted tonight for it to go up.

With the additional tax this is the equivalent of $8.34 Gallon US

(Average price across the USA for the same today $3.47)

We are paying 240% of the USA price for the same product

and then we have this http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2012/11/12/ci...s_n_2118979.html?ncid=GEP
