Oh no this time Botulism
----------------------------------------Last time it was polonium ibsteve2u the CO2 content of the atmosphere is around an historical low point I just created a whole bunch of CO2 in my lungs through Aerobic Respiration. Botulism it isn't, polonium much less I'm off to generate a load more cycling to the gym and then overcoming the viscosity of H20 with just a dash of CL2 ![]() |

From a UK perspective http://www.telegraph.co.uk/comment/columnists...-all-to-fuel-poverty.html Make sure you don't join us in the insanity Last week, a new study suggested that this is already causing 2,700 deaths a year in England and Wales. This is what they want only on a global scale |

http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2011/oc...ng-study-climate-sceptics
----------------------------------------Global warming study finds no grounds for climate sceptics' concerns What they are not understanding is what we are sceptical/skeptical about It's not that the Earth has warmed over the last 100 years. It's whether that warming has been caused by Mankind's small contribution to the 389 parts per million that is currently CO2 in our atmosphere and not by any other explanation or combination thereof. One bone of contention is that a gas is more soluble in a liquid when it is colder. With a warming globe the liquid i.e. Ocean is not able to contain as much dissolved gas If all gases were equally soluble in water the the percentage ratio would remain the same. However CO2 doesn't just dissolve in water it chemically bonds with it to make carbonic acid H2CO3. This association is weak and temperature dependent This is the root of the does CO2 lead the rise in temperature or lag behind it debate. The historical record within the ice cores would suggest the latter n.b. this is just one bone of contention see thread above for many many others ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by David Autumns at Oct 23, 2011 9:20:23 AM] |

The team, which includes Saul Perlmutter, joint winner of this year's Nobel Prize in Physics for the discovery that the universe is expanding at an increasing rate, has submitted four papers to the journal Geophysical Research Letters that describe their work to date.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Expanding from where??there would have to be a center somewhere--our solar system seems to be fairly stable---The Expanding Universe-- http://skyserver.sdss.org/dr1/en/astro/universe/universe.asp Food for thought---- or maybe-- The man who dated Creation at Oct. 23, 4004 BC--- http://m.theglobeandmail.com/news/opinions/op...le1848674/?service=mobile

Hi
----------------------------------------I am trying to work towards getting a baseline of the global temperature ![]() at the time of writing this graph collected data from 2679 NOAA weather stations in the last hour from their individual web pages e.g. http://weather.noaa.gov/weather/current/EGVA.html After a couple of months late last year throwing out all the dross and the stations that did not give their whereabouts I was left with a database of 2693 viable weather stations to collect from 24/7 (Originally 7385 NOAA Stations but it's rough at the coal face and only 2693 NOAA weather stations provided reliable data around the clock) So why only 2679 in the last hour and not 2693 !!! Well not all of the weather stations generate valid computer readable temperature data according to the METAR standard every single hour and so each hour we get a subset. This is the closest approximation to the current global temp we can get by averaging out the temperatures across the 2600+ stations a handful of missing stations is not going to be a big deal ...... So a year later I have had an audit of the info received over the last year and I intend to arrange a cull of the following weather stations that have been AWOL or gone rogue in the last 12 months Some regularly do not report and some have gone absent at some point over the last 12 months To see the graphs of the stations nominated for the cull replace XXXX in the following URL http://91.192.194.209/XXXX.png with the weather station reference below CWEK CWGH CWHQ CWIT CWKK CWKW CWRA CWWS CWXC DIAP HLLB HLLT HRYR KCDH KCKV KCOD KCIN KCRH KCVO KDKR KEAR KEEN KEMK KEYF KFLP KFME KFNL KFQD KGEV KICL KMBL KOSA KPPF KRUT KSCF KSEZ KSLO KSNK KSRE KSTJ KSUT KSVH KSWW KTBR KTTS LHPA LIPH LZKC LZLU LZNI OERY PAAK PAWR I make that 53 which will make the new list of reliable and active 24/7 stations, that we know the whereabouts of, stand at 2640 At the end of the year I will strip these stations out of the data and recalculate all of the values This way we will always compare apples with apples In most cases above you will be able to see the errors visually however a couple of stations are being stripped out solely for reasons that they have not reported in for up to 25% of their requests Given the reliability seen above it makes you wonder how the Berkeley Earth Surface Temperature paper came up with this ![]() Which it is claimed has been generated from a database of 39,390 weather stations that have appeared since 1800 Yours Sceptical Dave ![]() [Edit 2 times, last edit by David Autumns at Oct 23, 2011 4:08:15 PM] |

Guess we're left hoping the global warming deniers are right, 'cuz getting "revenge" if they're wrong would be both pointless and have an extremely small window of opportunity for implementation.
On the other hand, I just put another system on-line for CEP2...undoubtedly increasing my carbon footprint in the now but with the goal of greatly reducing it soonest. If you can't defeat 'em, obsolete 'em. |
