Nice one Gerald

A beautiful example of bias.

Stunned that the backpedling should be highlighted by BBC's Richard Black !!!

A Nobel laureate has quit one of the world's leading organisations for scientists in protest at its assertion that the evidence of damaging global warming is "incontrovertible".

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Back in 2007 the North Polar Sea Ice cover got down to 4,254,531 sq kms on the 24th September

4 years later the minimum occurred on the 9th September (15 days earlier than in 2007) and the minimum point was 4,526,875 sq kms which is 6.4% greater than the minima in 2007

By way of perspective the size of the North Polar Sea Ice at it's smallest extent this year was 1.377 times the size of India

Whereas in 2007 the sea ice continued to melt until the 24th, in 2011, since the 9th September, it has recovered by 296,875 sq kms already (just short of the size of Italy) and is now standing at 4,823,750 sq kms

On the 24th September 2007 there was 88.2% of the Sea Ice that is now present exactly 4 years later

Here's the link to the International Arctic Research Center, in corporation with the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, where you will find all the info
