Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

marysduby if there is any relationship between atmospheric CO2 and Global Temperature increase then it must be incredibly weak, as we have expected for quite a while.

With a further round of freezing weather heading our way in the UK that final provisional green bar on this graph can only go lower

Negative anomalies much like snow in the UK are supposed to be consigned to history in our alleged ever warming World

thinking

Is it snowing in Walla Walla yet?

I know this NOAA dataset is heavily biased towards North America and being Land based the Northern Hemisphere but I never expected to see this.

That's right folks last night the average temperature went sub zero

America is it cold over there too as well as in Walla Walla?

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

We tied a record last night (28F from 1962) and we will set a new all time record low for the date tomorrow night. While that may not seem cold to many I'm talking about central Florida. We've already had several record lows this fall and this looks to be the third consecutive year of below "normal" temps with each year colder than the one before. Last winter we had a recond 13 consecutive days of morning temps in the upper 20s to low 30s. The citrus farmers lost most of their crops. I've lived in Florida all my life and I haven't seen temps like the last 3 years since the early 60s. We are right now on a path to the coldest winter on record.
EDIT: We did set a new record low for the date last night. (31F-old record 33F) Another area of note, Daytona Beach set a new low of 28F. Beat the old record by 5 degrees. Tomorrow night's forecast is for lows around 35F. Brrrrr. I hate cold weather.

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Ah that'll be why

http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/NaturalHazards/view.php?id=47747&src=nha

Guys it will be on account of the alarming disappearance of Global Snow cover caused by alarming Global Temperature rises on account of Man's CO2 emissions contributing alarmingly to the 387 parts per million (0.0387%) of the atmosphere that is CO2. Al told us all it was alarmingly so and shared a peace prize on account of it - 10th Dec 2007

So 2010 must be the warmest year ever and the mythical white stuff must be a figment of our crazy imaginations....

and on no account due to this

http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/SolarCycle/

The changes in our handy local star, you'd have to be mad to think so

Especially with all that buddy reviewed "Climate Science" saying otherwise

wink

biggrin Man Made Global Warming one good belly laugh a day...guaranteed

Don't go taking any unnecessary risks in the ice and snow - whatever it is, it will wait until it has gone
Keep warm and keep well folks

Dave

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Great news our great Government has announced today that our Power bills, <sarcasm>being that they are so small </sarcasm>, are going to be increased by a further 33%

so we can pay for the new greener lower carbon footprint generating capability that this country needs

and then our Bills can be less in about 20 years time

The increase is so we can give the power generators a guaranteed rate for generating those KWh's

What pray tell have we been paying our actual Electricity and Gas Bills for all these years?

We seem to be underwriting the whole economy with our taxes and now with our Utility Bills

And the UK is not supposed to be a Totalitarian State !!
