Odd Bandwidth Calculations
double n_bwdown; // Average download bandwidth, bytes/sec The above are derived from actual file upload/download times, and may reflect factors other than network bandwidth Perhaps it reflects the response times of old servers and routers! Found hidden deep within this |

Please remember that your download speeds are against our servers. So if there are many hops in between it could cause your download speed to show up differently.
I believe that all the BETA work units have gone out, there are probably going to be a few that need to be resent. Also, thanks for the notice on your progress on the ps0005. These work units only have 5 checkpoints in them...so they should be spread out evenly across the percentage changes. ps0000 has 50 checkpoints. -Uplinger |

For some reason I picked one up on my Q9400 system (Win 7 64bit), but nothing on the others sitting about! The bandwidth reported is considerably different from one system to the next.
Anyway, BETA-erag_a148_ps0005_0 at 35% Should be finished in 2h 25min. |

widdershins, your wingman was me :)
----------------------------------------I am running this one with higher stdout on my local machine to see why it errored. The error 29 means that something within the application caused it to stop. This means it's a work unit error and not an application error. We are looking into this and it appears at the moment to only affect a handful of work units. I believe once your machine gets into the percentage part it will not error 29. But this is what I am testing for at the moment. also, I noticed the result filter issue as well, I will pass it along to the website guru's :) Edit: Web guru's fixed it as I was posting. Beta should filter properly in results status page. -Uplinger [Edit 1 times, last edit by uplinger at Oct 6, 2009 9:44:04 PM] |

But yes, the type A work units are monsters :) Yup, they ARE monsters? These units are FAT, really FAT (at least my erag_a138). Estimated 75h, current status 1h/1%. Hope this units have checkpoints Anyway, that's good for the Beta badge |

J'ai reçu 6 unités sur mon i7 920, avec 62 heures de calcul estimées.
Mon Q6600 a reçu 1 unité avec 65 heures estimées. Très grosses unités ou bien estimation foireuse? --- I have received 6 units on my i7 920, with 62 hours estimated time to completion. I received this full sized WU, BETA_erag_a019_ps0000_2 a while ago. So far, it has been crunching for 40 minutes with 0% completed and an ETA of 69:46:49 which doesn't seem right. System is a Phenom 9600 2.3 GHz stock clock with 4GB ram, Fedora 11, and client 6.2.15.
----------------------------------------Unfortunately, this is on a box I just got going this morning and is untested although benchmarks seemed normal and other WU's seem to be progressing normally. Should I allow it to continue? Edit: Update, after 50 minutes and zero progress, I restarted BOINC. No save point reached as WU restarted with zero minutes time.
