Well, it looks like this is where I get off... Will keep CEP in my projects list, but doubt I will get much now that I'm adding rice (and other BOINC projects) back into the fold. Should have more than enough running on my machines, and in the validation queue for gold. Don't have a snowball's chance for Ruby (only 3 machines running 24/7) so I'll leave the tiny trickle of work I've been siphoning up to everyone else who's chasing badges. Good luck, and happy crunching... See everyone on phase 2! Apologies to everyone for my premature post and generally sneaky ways... After posting this, I decided to go back and catch the Ruby. Seems that all the others who stopped crunching after achieving their badges, and increasing my work cache to 5 days netted me just enough work to make Ruby. Now I (honestly) have Rice and other BOINC projects back in the fold, and have put a temporary machine back in storage. |

So it appears on all my machines there is no more work. Is that a correct assumption?

As has been stated before, the last new work went out 3 days ago. There will be some resends for people that miss their deadlines, abort units, etc.
You can stay attached and see if you get lucky, but if you are more than a couple of days away from your next badge, I say leave the remaining work for those who are almost there. |

The project showed a little Monday sprint of 1,600 tasks returned, thus expect the validated results to drop to sub 1,000 from today. Given 1,900 results is the equivalent of 0.1%, the crunch chart will start showing 99.99% complete probably from Thursday, guessing that there's a few thousand left to come back over the 1.9 million done in this phase.

I have 4 that will finish this evening some time.
I expect there will be a lot of competition for the remaining few WUs that will be resent, when failures are returned – this being a fairly short project and badge collectors wanting to complete their shiny collections. |

Okay time for me to become nervous? 36 days of work completed, around 20 hours runtime a day... "all we can do is sit and wait" ![]() Is it your goal to make it to the silver badge of 45 days runtime? If so, you would need 9 more days, If you have a full cache of CEP (8-10 days) and maybe some tasks still at status Pending Validation, you could make it. OK i think that was pretty close, wasn't it? 0:045:07:10:53 and no more work in my cache ![]() |

Close indeed and mighty good you licked it.
---------------------------------------- As for the last bits, unless there is an uptick this afternoon, there will be half the results returned/validated or less today from yesterday, around ~275. Of course if suddenly half of the returns are wingman for results that were completed yesterday or before it might be more, not probable though. Last 3 days validations were: 29th 676 30th 539 1st 282

Hello,
I would like to ask, whether it would be time now to annouce the end of phase 1 of the Clean Energy Project? For me, personally, it is ok like it is now, I have understood that there is almost now work left, and I have changed to poem@home. I just wonder, whether people registrating for the Clean Energy Project right now might be frustrated if they do not get work and might stop crunching in gerneral? Thanks for the answer in advance. Yours Martin Schnellinger |

Why stop crunching in general... CEP2 is imminent and in meantime there are 6 more full running sciences that need your help at the World Community Grid.
----------------------------------------The Finish is announced when ALL results are returned and in the hands of the scientists. Who knows do they discover a batch is missing or something needs a rerun with different parms, so even if you switch to poem or whatever, there's no need to disable WCG, CEP or "if there is no work for..." or stop set work fetch to No. Do make sure to tick that 'add me in if a new science arrives', so you'll be the first to get a CEP2 job... I understand there won't be any fanfare when phase II launches. ![]()
