Re: HFCC Beta

When we run Beta tests, it is important that we get the validated results quickly. As a result we send 3 copies and validate when we get 2 back. Users who have medium to large queues are likely to see a lot of the server aborts as they see the longest delay between the assigned of the workunit and the time it starts.

Re: HFCC Beta

We have completed this round of beta testing and the work units that were not aborted came back good. This means we will be having one more beta test in the future with the fixed work units that errored out before.

Also, we are planning to run a short rice beta in the future to test the new work units from the researchers.

Both of these are currently going through alpha and we are seeing good results at the moment. So once alpha testing is complete we will be releasing these to beta.

Thanks,
-Uplinger

We generally don't post eta's on testing as many things can happen. But from the looks of it, probably towards the end of next week we'll be testing in Beta. Of course this could change if something is found to be wrong in the alpha tests.

Thanks
