----------------------------------------This thread was posted the day I left for a long weekend at my wifes sisters. I had decided that "as there was still plenty of time" I'd crunch for the next brown badge, so stopped crunching DDDT, then I come home a couple of hours ago and find this. So the news that there are new coloured badges to collect is published, and then this one gets the announcement that there is hardly anything left. Just great timing I guess... Do we already know what kind of science app will be used for DDD-T phase 2? Phase 1 used autodock if I'm correct. Will phase 2 also use autodock or something else? If something else will it be an app already used by another project (e.g. maxdo, charmm) or is it something new?
I'm asking because we know new science apps typically take quite a bit longer to get stable compared to known science apps and I'm eager to sink my teeth into DDD-T phase 2 |

CHARMM, the engine already in use at WCG. I am hoping that either 1) they change their mind and go back to using the reliable Autodock or 2) the unusually high volume of problems found with CEP (and CHARMM) have allowed the Techs to fix CHARMM. |

To everything a first, we're not dealing with the monster molecules that we see with the CEP. Besides, given that DDDT-1 was done on AutoDock tells that it does not have the skill to do this part, now would they if it could be done?

Counting down... about 4 days to go!
----------------------------------------In the statistics page I saw yesterday over 40 years of CPU time was returned for DDDT. Still going up. Sek might report some more records?
Greetings,
Arjan |

Visit the crunching chart threads... the quick look suggests it will be, the afternoon session sometimes a bit up, a bit down.

as soon as i saw the last of the DDD-T were put for download i looked at my days and decided i wouldnt try for the next badge and would give others a chance so i have 129 days here on phase one.
----------------------------------------I am looking forward to phase 2.. (and hopefuly i can snag a few of those beta's when they come out) still trying for by bronze B... I am not sorry that i only have a GOLD for this project.. it is nice to see that we have completed another project (in a few days) and are ramping up for the next phase of the project...yes i want the new badge too :P honestly with the new levels of crunching me and my wife decided to take 1 project to sapphire then rethink what project we will dedicate for next.. again I am glad we got 1 more project done or almost done and look forward to whats next |
