The researchers have identified 9 targets they wish to initially investigate. We are currently working on target 6 and 7 with most of 6 being completed. Is there a way (perhaps in the WU names) that we can determine as to which target(s) we're currently working on? - also, does anyone have any ideas as to how many WU's are in each target? |

Very close Sek,
example work unit name.... flu10701n0735_100020.... flu1 is the project name. 0701 is the target name n is the batch type...used by the researchers. 0735 is the batch within a target. 902 of these in each target. 100020 is the work unit in the batch. Now, number of work units in each target varies as the difficulty of the calculations vary because of the target. BUT, a very rough estimate for number of work units per batch is about 400-500. With batch 902 being about half the size around 200-250 work units... Hope this helps, -Uplinger |

Thanks uplinger & Sek for your info
----------------------------------------So now, we've got something to watch out for - in terms of when we're reaching the possible end of this project. Hopefully, I'll still be able to reach the Gold level - even with just the 2 cores I've got available... |

Imagine being 'just' over gold for longer and having had emerald (1 year) as original target to go for some time later (this is how much surprise was in this project coming and going )

I need 27 calendar days to reach Gold, and due to my vacation my desktop will have to run unattended for the next 3 weeks!

Good luck p.e.t.e.r - it sounds as though both you and I are hoping for the same thing (as I'm also looking/hoping for the project to last another 27 days or so...).
----------------------------------------As to your vacation - what I'd recommend (if you're not going to do it already), is to reboot your computer/router just before you leave, and hopefully, it'll all tick along smoothly whilst you're away. You never know, when you get back, there may be a nice Gold badge waiting for you |
