Thanks to eagle-eyed, 'brinktastee' bringing it to my attention, the NRW estimated completion date is moving forward. Whereas, not long ago, it was estimated to complete in 2010, it's now down to September 2009 - thus, if you still haven't got a Gold badge in this project (and you want one), you'd better get a move on...
----------------------------------------Don't let it be said that you weren't warned Graphs Link Edit : Due to Sek's comment (posted 23/02/09), I've now updated the month to September... Edit #2 (05/03/09) : The date is now August... So, get a move on if you're looking for Gold... Edit #3 (17/03/09) : We're now back to September... just shows how fluid these estimated dates are... (possibly due to an extra project coming onboard?) Edit #4 (23/03/09) : Now, we've slipped to November!!!! Edit #5 (27/03/09) : This estimate has now slipped to December 2009... Edit #6 (01/04/09) : As this project has now slipped into 2010, I won't bother altering the title at every change in the estimated completion date. If it moves back into this year (2009), then I'll start again... [Edit 6 times, last edit by gb009761 at Apr 1, 2009 4:23:05 AM] |

Myth buster alert. Just before the RICE hold, due overproduction, the extrapolated date was July 2009. The date was based on a known volume where all jobs were fixed 8 hour run time. Then RICE were increased in size to 10 hours and now they go to 6 hours. I'll need to recalibrate as the projected date is dynamic based on cumulative, last month and last week mean throughput. Could be sooner, could be later, depends on the knreed joystick too, famous for unpredictability (which is not to say he's blond, which from the last video, he well could be ;-)... but there are these changes that cannot be anticipated.

Oh well, I was wrong... but there again, it's still ample warning for those still on the lookout for a NRW Gold badge

Well, the recalib shows October still as the longest and August as a possible, exactly 6 months from today.
----------------------------------------Think it's "Get your motors running ..." (Projects tend to stretch, but with GC there was still the "taken by surprise")

Is this project the soonest to finish then. I know that this is specifically the rice thread, but how does this compare to the other projects' completion dates?

Is this project the soonest to finish then. Yes, according to the first graph here http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=18277 Rice looks to be first, followed by Dengue in March '10 and Clean Energy in Dec '10. Keep in mind these numbers will fluctuate if more projects come on line. |
