Got a strange wu. It's marked as No reply on Results status, yet Boinc finished crunching it and now it's waiting to be send.
----------------------------------------I received this wu on 17-2 and finished it today, return day is 1-3. I remember seeing a line in red on the messages tab in Boinc Manager about this wu not being resend because it's expired.  Anyway it's stuck, update project does not force it to report. Do I need to reset the project or will it go away by itself? On the quick, if you finished it today, 21st, it was probably just minutes/hours too late... too big a buffer probably as BOINC starts pushing results generally into high priority around 48 hours before deadline.
----------------------------------------The line you saw was likely "the deadline has passed. Consider aborting cause you're likely not going to get credit" or similar. In these conditions BOINC scheduler should actually push the reporting. hitting Update when it sits as "Ready to Report" normally clears it. Try again in a few minutes. If it uploads before the backup result returns you might still get credit. There's some reprogramming for version 6.6 on reporting, debt and scheduling... but it's still very much beta. New point releases comes out every other day.

Thanks for replying. How can it be too late as I returned it in 4 days and the deadline according to Boinc was 1-3?
That said, the buffer is quite large, I could set for a smaller buffer. No it was not that line, I found it, it was: Message from server: Didn't resend lost result R00256_4d6940220f7f9eb03d4fbde6aaf60245_00_3 (expired) It just got reported together with another wu.  Can't see the result log yet, because of the stats run. |

Too quick... there's a funny with this "no reply" / "too late" on RICE particularly. Just report it (you did) and it's likely convert after revalidation.
----------------------------------------And yes, knreed switched off the lost result recovery due db performance issues. As you found, it still reports after the time out flag has cleared. It seems to have impacted FAAH looking at midday stats so have fired a question in the back room.
