Thank you very much, GM and wife Sue.
Gives us plenty of time to plan. When is late next year? About this time of year? |

Evening all
A really sunny and warm day here. A Danhaus was one of the prefabricated houses made in Denmark although there were German builders doing similar work. The foundations had to be made previously according to the specifications but then a large lorry appeared early in the morning and by the evening the house could be occupied with just finishing work to be done. I remember watching a television programme of a demonstration of the procedure where a couple, slightly known to me, bought a German house of a similar structure and one watched it go up, perhaps not totally finished but ready for occupation by the evening. For a long time it was difficult to get planning permission for timber constructions although earlier, in Kent and Sussex there were plenty of wooden cottages. My Grandmother lived in one in Sussex, now gone because of road works to get rid of a sharp bend. |

![]() It seems as if Danhaus is alive and kicking and has outgrown its diapers. Have you been in construction? Were they made from wood then? Danhaus |

Daylight hours will be getting scarcer, as in Poole plus a little more
as we are more notherhly - but not bad. Would be to the cool side - which should be no problem, maybe wet, - but the Brits invented the umbrella (or could have), but it can also be like this morning report: Good Morning! Con trails the only thing disturbing the blue, blue sky, calm and crisp. ![]() |
