Re: kold

Cool and overcast but dry at least for the Apple Day fete in the Village so it should make a quid or two.

Re: kold

OK, "A" should.
You should, too, both mailed from Denmark, tho.
But maybe the postlady postponed it until Monday
smile
The mail seems to be irregular at times.
Some of the cards I sent home arrived in a jiffy,
others were laggards.
My upstairs thanked me for one she got from Spilsby
(before I arrived in York)
that she received two days ago.
There will be a letter for "A" very soon I hope. Mailed Friday.

Re: kold

Art noon all...... smile

Two parades two towns, what a turn out at both, the lads may have only been TA but they were as smart and professional as any regular unit.
I must mention the towns folk too, what a wonderful reception they gave them.
So Proud of you Lads and Proud to have taken part in your welcome home......... applause
The weather was a bit mixed but the rain stayed off until the parades finished, our thanks go to the Padre for talking to his govenor wink

I'm afraid you lost your way, blanco ivan
- I found this in *The Survivors* team thread
- you may have meant to post it there
- but odds are you turned a wrong handle or pushed a weird button
- but, of course, our Forums could be electrified <I often think they are>
wink
Evening all

Dark skies now but it's been a mild and pleasant day.

Good to see Button keeping the British flag flying in F1.

Re: kold

It would be fun
- just in my small area we could spend an entire week looking at all kinds of stuff
- but you would want to go to Copenhagen as well
- see Tivoli Gardens, Nyhavn and take a trip by tour boat around the harbour.
Provided the traffic cooperates, we are just one hour by Rosie from Copenhagen.
A trip to island Funen with Hans Christian Andersen's birthplace
<haven't even seen that myself>
across the Great Belt Bridge is doable and worthwhile as well.
Even a two-day trip to Jutland for a few main attractions
- the North Sea coat being one of them and
"The Old Town" - a collection of old town houses from all over the country ranking high
could be on the agenda.
I don't have enough room to set you up, but I know exactly where to put you

Danhostel - Danish for Youth Hostel where everybody is "youth"

Københavnermarch - Copenhagener March
