@ Edwardian: Does she want to get you involved in a TV show again? What was is the first time around?
@ don den: tsk, tsk, tsk .... she's YOUNG! Good Morning! Hissing down (the densnaps word - forgot the Edwardian term - brain not working) cats and dogs, some wind, quite cool -a day to play cards for the many families vacationing in expensively rented beach homes ... Cold worse than ever - will look up the specifications for what they call a "cold pneumonia" ... |

Had a nice surprise yesterday, one of the producers ( a young Lady) of a TV programme I was involved in a few years ago, made contact again. Made me feel quite young again! lol It's because you can't beat an OLD act Moaning all, British summer as arrived Bright but a tad chilly here in the Midlnds, forecast dosn't look too good for the week ahead, high winds and heavy tedding by the weekend! I see on the news that Mr Richard Moremuck is getting even deeper in poo, our cousins across the pond are now showing an interest in his Empire! 'How the mighty fall' Stay well stay safe ........ Evening all
----------------------------------------Pleasantly warm here too but mostly overcast so still not like a blazing summer. I suppose some people will miss the NOW as I can remember the loss of the News Chronicle that my parents always had until one day, without warning, and the Mail was delivered; hardly in the same readership bracket. I took the Times for a while when travelingelling to Lombard Street for work but the Observer at the weekend which also had the advantage of a tough crossword that our little group of post canteen lunch coffee would together tackle during the week. Then I moved on to the Guardian which was then the Manchester paper and had the advantage of being unaffected by the Wapping news strike. I can remember other commuters on the train asking for a quick look but then being disappointed because, at that time, they didn't cover racing. And, I've rfaithfulaithfull to this day and to the Observer on Sunday. Saturday is a full house when I also take the Times and the FT both of which have excellent supplements and crosswords. I took to the FT when in Germany because it was also printed over there and so available early. It still, for me, has the most interesting magazine section especially if you are interested in Food and Wine. It all keeps the recycling bag full each week. Which reminds me that I still see newspaper adverts for the hand machine designed to make solid bricks for the fire out of old newspapers. Do you know of anyone who has used such a thing?
