It would seem not! I keep getting messages now saying that I am not even signed on/in!! crying I have re-joined two or three times and it is still the same! This seems a rather long-winded way of getting rid of people they are fed up with!! devilish

Evening all

Had my computer mate round who brought a new DVD writer and helped me sort out the radio modem which was more trouble than either of us thought it would be. Just as well his rates are very reasonable and that he has known all my equipment for the last 10 years.

WCG must think you've become addicted having booked in umpteen times in the last few days devilish
I take it from your tone and multiple Never evers that you don't wish for boinic to be your screen saver crying and wish to remove the offending item
I dont have a screen saver I have set the machine to switch off the monitor after a short period .
to do this should you wish to take the challenge right click on an empty part of the desk top ....... drop down menu select properties then screen saver choose one you like OR NONE . on this menu page you will see a power button click this and you can choose to turn off the monitor after what ever period you desire. there is also an option to turn off hard disks and put system into standby click never for these . when you return to the computer you will have a black screen just move the mouse to wake the 'putor up again
hope this helps
I will be in all day tomorrow so can give you a ring and we can step through getting the other stuff sorted.

Re: .

Sounds good to me Den!! wink If you are willing to give me your 'phone number, I could ring you, and then it would be down to me to foot the bill - don't want you to have to do that!

As I am sure you have heard me boasting about, I always do a morning walk to set me up for the day, so I would not be calling much before 10.00 am, if that is convenient. Having said that, I could call earlier if you prefer, as I am always up by 7.00 am latest. wink biggrin Many thanks - you are a pal!

Re: .

Goodafternoon fellow crunchers :) I thought I would jump in and say Hi to one and all. Hope everyone is ok. Sorry to hear of your computer woes Merle. It was lovely to see on the news that a service was held at Westminster for the people of Christchurch. This is a disaster that will go down in history here. 10 days on and it's like nightmare that never ends. The death toll is 163 but is expected to rise to approximately 220. I don,t think there is one person in this country who hasn't been affected in some way by this. Thank you for the well wishes. Cassie & Matt are coming down for the weekend.
We felt the earthquake here and it was scary so it must have been terrifying for them. There are wonderful tales of bravery and self sacrifice along with the lowlifes who have tried looting.. Thankfully these sods are being held without bail!
That's about all from here. Take care :)
