Re: .

smile good morning all......
The weekend here already, tempus fugit!!.

So glad to hear your all getting back to some sort of normality Haapi, it's tragic so many lives have been lost, it must be dreadful for their relatives and friends, as indeed for the whole nation!!. I agree about the looters, lock 'em up and throw away the key!, dispicable creatures!!

Whatever your doing this weekend folks, have a good one. rose good luck

Old Sage wink

Re: .

Ok Den - bit late this morning; just setting out on my walk, so won't be ready before 10.00 am, but that is not crucial - any time after that will be ok. wink

Re: .

Evening all

And then you must have frightened everyone else away Merle. Hope you've got the Grid sorted out however.

It was a bit coolish to say the least when I walked to the supermarket this morning but the sun came out this afternoon and cheered everything up.

Re: .

Well, well, well..........
Listening to the Bank Holiday proposal's,
Trafalgar day or St Georges day. Yes do it.... in fact make both happen .
I am wondering what will happen for "The Wedding" with it being a "Bank Holiday" Or maybe a "Public Holiday" it is the week after Easter. I don't doubt that some folks will be off from Good Friday
Taking the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday as holiday a nice break as long as the company is there when they get back to work .Or will the population not bother at all not like the Di/ Charlie bun fight ...
+++++++++++++++++++++

Spent some time this morning trying to activate Merles crunching
When she went to tasks the machine was working on a task
but she only had one task in the list , this is due to finish around 20.00hrs
comparing settings she seems to be correct so waiting with fingers crossed
********************
Dont you tend to think The modern Police man gets a bad press
I know its partially their fault pouncing around as they do nowadays
In shades and big Doc Martin boots with plus four strides the black shirts no tie
Cant see the bobby of yesteryear peddling his bike in gear like that.
True he would have had beetle crusher boots but he would have had his Bicycle clips to secure the ample Blue serge trouser legs. His silver buttoned tunic covered his blue shirt and proper tie not a clip on. (The grizzled Sarge 40 years in the job scorned the tunic as too fancy the earlier collar's had a round high neck). He would have Black gaberdine mac or Cape. A great coat was available for the colder weather. His defence against the Underworld was his trusty truncheon and Whistle.

Anyway our local Peeler was a friendly chap
And one Charles Penrose gave the Police a pleasant image

I know a fat old policeman
He's always on our street.
A fat and jolly red-faced man
He really is a treat.

He's too kind for a policeman
He's never known to frown.
And everybody says
He is the happiest man in town!.

He laughs upon point duty
He laughs upon his beat.
He laughs at everybody
When he's walking in the street.

He never can stop laughing
He says he's never tried.
But once he did arrest a man
And laughed until he cried!

Oh ho ho ho ho ho ho. Ha ha ha ha ha ha.

Ho ho ho ho ho ho ho. Ha ha ha ha ha ha.

His jolly face is wrinkled
And then he shut his eyes.
He opened his great big mouth
It was a wonderous size!

He said "I must arrest you!"
He didn't know what for.
And then he started laughing
Until he cracked his fat old jaw.

Oh ho ho ho ho ho ho ho. Ha ha ha ha ha ha.

Ho ho ho ho ho ho ho. Ha ha ha ha ha ha.

So if you chance to meet him
While walking 'round the town.
Shake him by his fat old hand
And give him half a crown.

His eyes will beam and sparkle
He'll gurgle with delight.
And then you'll start him laughing
With all his blessed might!

Re: .

My small WCG icon at the bottom right hand corner of my screen, still says (when I put the curser on it) "Not connected to a client" - so I think I must be doomed not to be able to crunch for WCG! sad crying confused

Re: .

Merle,
Double click the icon you refer to,
You should then get something that has a "Messages" tab on it,
Scroll to the top of the Messages,
Copy the top 20 or 30 and paste them on to here.......

Re: .

I switched the whole thing off overnight Alan (ie computer), and (it) seems to have corrected itself overnight! wink (that is where icons are concerned). However, I might have another problem elsewhere (from WCG), and at the moment I don't feel strong enough to tackle it!! To think that I used to live quite happily without a computer!! crying To make matters worse, my TV is not working - must get a 'man' in for that though - would be the weekend. wouldn't it!!
